If they are both plat club members they get about 25% RB per hand
Say they have 30% on FTP
25% of $2= .50
30% of .50= .15

Thats a whole 35c more RB per hand on stars, this can realy add up over 6 hour sessions

I saw Joe sitting with 60k a few hours ago and everytime I opened it since then, he has had more and more money. I do know that Mark was sitting with over 200k at some point, so I know if Joe was the one that was down, he has comeback considerably.

PokerStars Game #10184772587: Hold'em Limit ($500/$1000) - 2007/05/30 - 14:54:30 (ET)

Seat 3: newhizzle ($130306 in chips)
Seat 4: BUTCH ACIDY ($156600 in chips)

BUTCH ACIDY: posts big blind $500

BUTCH ACIDY: bets $500
newhizzle: calls $500
*** TURN *** [Js Ks Ac] [Ah]
BUTCH ACIDY: checks
newhizzle: bets $1000
BUTCH ACIDY: raises $1000 to $2000
newhizzle: calls $1000
*** RIVER *** [Js Ks Ac Ah] [9h]
BUTCH ACIDY: checks
newhizzle: checks
*** SHOW DOWN ***
BUTCH ACIDY: shows [Jh Jd] (a full house, Jacks full of Aces)
newhizzle: mucks hand
BUTCH ACIDY collected $7998 from pot
*** SUMMARY ***
Total pot $8000 | Rake $2
Board [Js Ks Ac Ah 9h]
Seat 3: newhizzle (button) (small blind) mucked
Seat 4: BUTCH ACIDY (big blind) showed [Jh Jd] and won ($7998) with a full house, Jacks full of Aces

Can someone explain the river check? I doubt is Mark more likely to bet and call a check-raise than to pay off a value bet.

But he might think Mark is more likely to be induced into betting the river, but fold to a value bet (likely untrue). Of course Cassidy is wrong because Newhouse would have put in more action earlier (not the spot to trap), it wasn't played well.

Well I take back what I said before. He is down from when I was watching, but I am very happy to hear he is taking it to Joe. And he's not allowed to play for any less than 5 hours against Joe, because then Joe would bitch and moan about him hitting and running (speaking from experience). Good job Mark.

Re: Newhizzle v. Joe Cassidy 500/1k HU match

I like the Jennifer Tilly comment. The second comment was stupid. Why do you think he could have got another C/R out of him? A lot of things out there could have still beat him. After the C/R on the turn, he def should have just bet out into him on the river. If he gets raised, then he loses 2 bets. If he gets called with a worse hand, he wins 1 bet. If he checks, mark will probably only bet a made hand with that board, and maybe reraise him if he had a hand like A9. Either way, bad play by Joe. However, people did the same thing to me when I was playing HU for long sessions. They pick 1 random hand out of the session and critize the play. You can't play the same each hand and you have to be able to judge your opponents betting patterns. I haven't watched enough of the match, but if Joe thought he really could get Mark to bet the river then pay off a raise with a worse hand, then it wasn't THAT bad of a move.
