Simple PFR Size Reaction Poll

TAG reg CO raises to 35.
or
TAG reg CO raises to 30.

As for your answers, I don't mean theoretically, I mean in practice.

On a 30 raise I usually call lighter with speculative hands because of the better odds, but I dont really reraise more light because its more a matter of hand range than odds.

Are the stacks 100BB and the blinds 5/10?

I lean towards 3 betting more than calling in these situations. But if we call I guess we are also assuming we may do things like float?

I agree. That's why I had a couple questions.

Re: Simple PFR Size Reaction Poll

People, it was just a general question, holding all else equal but varying the PFR size. Figured that would be obv. If you like, take every possible situation you can create at 5/10 with 100bb and the info given and average out the results.

Re: Simple PFR Size Reaction Poll

ha i understand but i think that that means our answers just depend on how we view the distribution of players and that it doesnt really help you

if you are askig to change your game accordingly then it would be important to know how others view you before answering this question

Re: Simple PFR Size Reaction Poll

It also depends how we define TAG. This could mean 16/13 or 22/17... depending on who you talk to around here.

Re: Simple PFR Size Reaction Poll

the better question to possibly illustrate a difference is:
villain opens to 8xbb vs opening to 4xbb.
do you cold call otb lighter vs a bigger or smaller raise? Smaller raise, obviously.
do you 3bet lighter vs a bigger or smaller raise?
Smaller raise, obviously.
do you call OOP lighter vs a bigger or smaller raise?
Smaller raise, obviously.
do you 3bet lighter OOP vs a bigger or smaller raise?
Smaller raise, obviously.

the dif between 3.5 and 3 though is so negligible that alot of people probably just subconsciously make this decision.

also, i like opening for 4 more then 3, so take that for what its worth.
