Hope to get 2-3 good stories up here to make people feel better.

Mine was live, with the remainder of my br at the table. Multiway pot, I complete in sb with 3 4 o/s.

Flop comes 2-5-6 with 2 diamonds.. MP super lag bets pot, cutoff who is steaming calls, I cr 5x his initial bet. MP calls, cutoff folds.

Turn 7 (no diamond). I shove for 3/4 the pot. He ponders, I tell him I don't want him to call. He calls. Flips over a King high flush draw.

River 9 (no diamond).

Dealer, a nice guy who I always tip, pushes me the pot after looking at the hands. As I just start to stack the chips, the cutoff, who was steaming, says "He has a higher straight."

Dealer reanalyzes the hands, and K-8 scoops the pot.

I stare like an idiot in my seat at the pot being taken away from me. I take out 4 dollars, buy chips, everyone looks at me like I'm a super degen. I take the chips, and give them to the dealer and walk out.

To this day I don't think that thought will ever leave me, even though the money at stake is laughable.

Just wondering, is there a "statute of limitations" on when a hand ruling can be changed? How long after the pot is awarded can the ruling be changed? Is it any time before the next deal starts?

I don't understand.

The best hand was tabled and eventually awarded the pot after an initial dealer error.

I flopped top set guy flopped bottom set, he's all in, hit his one out on the river. I was a chip leader and survived, about 10 hands later, I flop middle set, he flops bottom set and hits his one outer on the river and knocked me out.

At least I never had chips pushed toward me.

Same villain, 90/60/5, in ten hands these 4 happened.

Villain raises UTG, I reraise UTG+1 with AKos, folded around and he calls. Flop K93, he open shoves and I call. He shows QQ and spikes a Q.

UTG+1 raises, villain 3-bets on the cut-off and I 4-bet with AA on the button. I get 3-callers (SB, UTG+1 and villain)and my AA still looks good on a 663 board and im hoping for action. UTG+1 is all in, (pot was already 180BB) villain calls, I call and SB folds showing QQ. UTG+1 had KK and villain shows J6s.

Then I get it all in with a flushdraw + pair vs his nut-flushdraw and he draws out.

Then I shove AQ preflop vs him and he calls with A9 and wins.

Then I was stunned.

I beat a dude allin preflop with 87s against his QQ for about a 5k pot once. he overlimp-reraised me and i was like WTF SHOVE. he tank-called, and i flopped the joint. lol.

And my K3 beat KJ on a KJ9 flop (3 turn, 3 river, money went in on turn) for about a 6k pot. he was pretty furious.

both live, both awesome.

no the bad beat at the casino i play at (boulevard in vancouver) the bad beat is aces full of tens beat by quads or better

I had AK other guy had KK, Axx on flop, I shove he calls. x on turn case K on river. about a 900 dollar pot live.

oh god do i have a beat for you, so im playin high stakes 7 card stud, and me and Kevin McBride are betting and raising and goin nuts, long story short we both end up with a royal flush on teh 7th street, but he had the royal flush of spades while i had the royal flush of hearts, and as you know spades are higher in value then hearts so he had the higher royal flush, omg it was so sick i almost threw up

was this at boulevard in coquitlam BC? Exact same thing happened at a 1/2 table while i was playing 4/8 there and heard the commotion

this happened about 4 years ago, it was my first time playing 10/20 live and I was a noob and shortstacking with 1K. folded around to cutoff who raises to $80, i raise to $320 with AA on the button, SB CCs 320, cutoff calls. flop is K22 and its checked around to me, obv. i push for ~$670, SB calls and cutoff folds. turn 5, river 7...SB had A2o and scoops the pot. ill never forget that hand.

I feel your pain...had red aces in hold 'em the other day and other guy had black aces; we got all in preflop, the board didn't change anything, so he scooped a huge pot...it's just sick.

Haha cmon know everyone knows that isn't true, the thing that happened to me can only happen in stud, believe me the rules in the cardroom pointed out that in 7 stud when there are flushes of the exact same rank, the higher suit wins, and everyone knows is goes clubs, diamonds, hearts and then spades. Playing at Harrah's 300NL during NCAA tourney. Built my stack to $486. Me and another guy (who has me covered) raise and reraise until we are all in before the flop. He doesn't turn his cards so I don't show my AA. Board comes Q 10 4 x x. I turn over my AA and he turns over his AA. He doesn't realize there are 4 hearts on the board and I beat him with an ace high flush. He just stared at the board for like 5 minutes and left shortly afterward. I don't think he has played poker since.

ive had so many its hard to remember them all at once, sometimes i wake up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat having a nightmare about one
this one is pretty sick
QQ vs KK flop is QJJ, we get all in..turn is an ace, river king

All in preflop live cash game with QQ (3 handed with 2 people I knew) I got called by 88. 3rd guy folds, we put them on their backs and 3rd guy says he folded an 8 too. First card on the flop is the case 8.

In Omaha flopping a flush, getting it all in against a guy with aces. Board pairs on turn; ace on river. Statistically that's about as bad as it gets. $600 pot.

Lost a $400 pot last week with A5xx on an AA65 board getting it all-in on turn against guy with ATT2. River T, obv.

I've had a lot of pretty spectacular beats. This one was pretty good. I can say that only because I stacked the bastard like 5 hands later.

2/5 NL at Seneca Niagara, I'm sitting with about 900 and I was drinking. (Unusual for me. I can handle about 1 beer before I get loopy. Seriously.)

I open in MP with 22 for 30, get like 5 callers. (Standard at Seneca)

Flop: 2 3 J rainbow.

I am happy, and cbet like 50. Get 2 callers.

Turn: J completing rainbow

I am very happy. I check, 1 guy bets 100, other calls, I think about pushing here but just call.

I'm preparing my hands to push all in on just about any river.

River: J

I go WTF. Check, check dude pushes all in. I slam my 22 down and go off. We were all like 900 deep. I had totally put them both on the two remaining Jacks. Not so I guess.

He flips J5 off suit and scoops like 500 as we both fold.

Sickest [censored] ever.

About 1 orbit later, I had about 800 and this hand happened. Same villan. I open MP for 20 with A9 SOOOTED. Like 4 callers.

Flop:

A 9 6 rainbow

I bet like 125 - more than I would normally, but I was steaming. Folds to J5 villan from last hand. He pushes for like $1000 covering me. I insta-call.

He asks what you got? I go top two and he gets all pissed and falls back in his chair.

Turn: 6

He jumps out of his chair.

River: 9

And falls back in it.

Villan flips A6. I scoop 1800 with AAA99.

I was happy.
