Poker is my Favorite sport
Thought this was actually worth posting. less than 10 hands at this table. I probably butched everything but flop and preflop. Block river? I have no clue.

Re: Poker is my Favorite sport
I like although I don't know what the best river play is. Probably c/c. I would think villain would shove flop with AsK.
|
Re: Poker is my Favorite sport
I probably fold river, people are going to be value betting 99 or AsK / AKs / KQs / KsQ / x-ys far more than he is going to be bluffing with the much smaller range of 77 etc.

Re: Poker is my Favorite sport
AsXo?
|
Re: Poker is my Favorite sport
Definatly AK
But listen to what True said. |
Re: Poker is my Favorite sport
good analysis from true, honestly you only beat a bluff and you have no read.
really though how was your stay in valuetown? ....sorry, you knew it was coming lol. I only block the river when there are hands in the villain's range that he could call and lose with, AND I think there are hands in his range that might bluff the river. here, i suppose he could bluff AsQx or something, but does your block ever get called by worse? probably not. |
Re: Poker is my Favorite sport
gotta fold the river. tough lay down though, can't blame you if you called
|
Re: Poker is my Favorite sport
Is the turn a trivial check?
|
Re: Poker is my Favorite sport
I think it's probably check/fold.
|
Re: Poker is my Favorite sport
I mean if you had to do a pokerstove range I wish you could weight it so Asx was weighted higher than hand with a K in it because I think you see Asx a lot more than any other hand if that makes any sense.

Re: Poker is my Favorite sport
Not a sport.

Re: Poker is my Favorite sport
If I checked the turn it would be to call. Villain thinks he has to protect here so has value against lone spades (in his opinion), he also thinks he might have a solid bluff as the king is a decent scare card that you have shown weakness against. The villain may think he is value betting / protecting / bluffing with any kind of mediocre hand that called the flop.
I do agree that some As-x are in his range, but how many As-x do you call a re-raise with preflop and what % of time do you just call the flop? |

Re: Poker is my Favorite sport
Given that you only beat a bluff AND villain checked turn it's difficult for him to be bluffing very often here.

Re: Poker is my Favorite sport
as played check-shove river
|
Re: Poker is my Favorite sport
Alright if Im checking the turn how often should I lead a blank river? (im drunk)
|
Re: Poker is my Favorite sport
honestly, I would every time.

Re: Poker is my Favorite sport
i use the exact same line fgators, but i play laggy splashy, whereas you play one gear "look, here are my cards" style, so w ur image if villain isnt retarded i checkfold river.
|
Re: Poker is my Favorite sport
FGators why the horrible reputation on BBV?
