NL10 Just a PFR% Question and a HUD Layout

I'm just curious here. I've read quite a bit of old posts from stickies and so forth. In a game like this:

http://img113.imageshack.us/img113/3627/nltablenn3.jpg

I can't see any reason to have a PFR% of over 9 or so. Does that make sense?

Also, that's my layout right now. I'm wondering how other people have their hud set up. Probably a link I've missed somewhere.

Looks like a good game to have a pfr over 20.

What's special about the game?

Standard NL10 game. I just posted a picture so that those who've maybe not played it would no what they look like.

I've read quite a few old posts now, and I'm wondering if I'm playing way too tightly. I'm just curious is all.

Also, wondering what others are displaying on their huds. There's probably a post out there iwth that info, but I've not found it yet.

By looking at your picture, how do I know how tightly/loosely you play? Are you the one with stats 17.2/6.9/0.75 or something? Excuse me if it's a silly question.

Beside the usual VPIP/PFR/AF, I also have c-bet%/call c-bet%/raise c-bet%

I can post my layout later tonight when I gets home if you want. You just have to teach me how to post pictures (yeah I realize it may be one of the simplest things to do).

I am at Stars, also 10NL

Why do you think you shouldn't have a PFR% over 9 in a game like this?

Yes, I'm the bottom one there. My 6000 NL10 hands are at 21.23/7.22/3.5

I'd love to see your layout.

I did this by using imageshack. It's pretty self explanatory when you get to their site. If you need further help, just let me know. I'll be back tonight as well.

Probably because he thinks everyone calls and everyone shows down.

Which I would add too your HUD, WTSD%, W$SD, also I have calls cbet, folds to cbet, raises cbet, as well as, cbets (themselves) and folds their cbet to a raise.

Because of posts like this.

I realize this is 6max and he's a lot better player than I am, but...wow.

Also, I've watched some of the videos posted in SSNL, and they're using position a lot more than I am. Rasing button wiht Q5o after one lp limper and so forht.

I'm just curious is all.

Re: NL10 Just a PFR% Question and a HUD Layout

With the amount of limpers sometimes its hard to get bring up your PFR stats. Hands like JTs in the cutoff are a raise first in but because at NL10 you might get 1,2 or 3 limpers most hands you generally just limp along. Getting in cheap with good pot odds due to the limpers and hoping to bust a big hand. As tables tighten my PFR stats go up.

People can be so stats driven. Just find a style that works for you. If you feel you are playing too tight loosen up a little and try it. When I first started playing my VPIP was about 18 then it dropped to 12.5 and now I am up to 14.5. I have been adding different hands to play in position as I get comfortable about how to play them pre & post flop.

The stats are

Across the top of each player - Vpip, pfr, total agg
Below that - $ won, no. hands
At bottom right corner of name box - wtsd%
In white (top to bottom) - Attemt to steal, folds SB to steal , folds BB to steal
In yellow (top to bottom) - CB, calls CB, raises CB

I also have table average Vpip and pfr (so Iknow when to leave a bad table), plus my stats on this table (so I know my image when multi-tabling).

What table vpip% & pfr% do you use to determine a good vs. bad table? Any general guidelines?

mack848 05-03-2007 01:36 PM

Re: NL10 Just a PFR% Question and a HUD Layout

Varies by site. I look for the best available.

On Party, I hope for 20% vpip average. On Full Tilt, 28% vpip. Trouble is, since the re-sizable tables update on FT, I can't play more than 3 tables with PokerAce.

How do you let PAHUD to show your own stats on the table?

Next to where you choose the stats is a 'show mine' box to tick.

I don't take much notice of the actual values. Before I play, I open up and mine 12 or 16 tables. After 20 minutes (when I review the big hands from the previous session) I choose the tables with the highest Vpip.

I use the table stats as much for when to leave, as when to join. When playing 8 or more tables, it's too easy to end up staying at a table full of TAGs and nits. As soon as a table drops too low (I choose 17% on PArty, 21% on FT) I leave and find another table.

Re: NL10 Just a PFR% Question and a HUD Layout

Thanks for posting that Mack. I like it.

Jay Yang. Showing your own stats is a really cool tool for multitabling. It just shows your stats at that table for htat session. This way you get a feel for what you look like to other players at that table. It's also a pretty cool way to show you how a small sample can really screw you up sometimes. There's been times where I've been at a table for 100 hands and my stats look like the biggest lag or biggest nit on the planet. Really something to consider when you only have like 100 hands on somebody and are making serious decisions based on stats alone.

This is my set-up, QTip. CB = c-bet. CBC = call c-bet. CBR = raise c-bet.
