Calling down with bottom boat

SB is a thinking 30/20 LAG
Not much of a history, but I 3-bet him PF quite a time, he folded so far.
No idea if he is getting frustrated with me.

what the hell is wrong with you? Are you a troll? Do you know how much value you just lost vs 3x?

no i think i like it. your call is so strong on the turn and he still leads, which he'll do if hes fkin around or really strong so, i like it.

Re: Calling down with bottom boat

I agree that just calling the turn raise is ok but it should be with the intent of shoving over his river bet. He never has KK, 77 is really unlikely and a LAG might even raise 77 from the SB. The only hand you're worried about is K3 which. With only 150 BB stacks I feel like you should be getting it in here

Re: Calling down with bottom boat

also, if hes a LAG and hes any good he's gonna bet bigger on the river to try and get max value with a boat, so he probably doesnt have one

How much?
I'm sure he sees me as a good player.
He is probably not calling more than a minraise with a worse hand. If I minraise and he shoves, I'll hate it...

do you really think he completes the SB w/K3? shove the river dude. i don't think it's even a pot sized raise

It's an unraised pot vs a strong player who respects me.

I agree, that we are far ahead vs his range, no question!

The question is, how are we doing against the range he is calling a shove with?
Again, i don't think he is calling a shove with a random 3X in this spot.

Re: Calling down with bottom boat

i totally get your feelings here but i really wonder if he is gonna put this much in with a random 3x to fold now. you only have 150bb eff

your bet sizing is pretty weak too, btw. in limped pots i like to just go ahead and pot it. on the turn too, just pot it, or damn near. if you had bet 20 on the turn, he'd have checkraise to 60+ and this wouldn't be as damn messy. i'm not being results oriented here - i am accustomed to people calling big bets anyway (even on dry boards) and i'd like to set this up for stacks comfortably if someone else has a 3

Re: Calling down with bottom boat

i think your flop and turn bet sizing is okay. i spose i would probably bet a bit more on the turn. as played, if you think the villian is not going to call a shove, then whats wrong with something goofy like a minraise or slightly more than minraise. he'll almost surely pay that off with any 3, especially A3.

i think at the time i would push the river, but thats coz i play too many tables and have no time to think. with the luxury of time, i think i like raising to about 155 with the intent of calling a push. if he has a bigger fullhouse then i just cry and move on.

admittedly K3 and 77 etc are in his range. but there are lots of hands you beat and it just seems too weak to just call this river imo. you are giving up too much value.

I would raise, with it probably being a push....if he doesn't call...he won't see what u put pressure on him with....

no point minraising....
