Woohoo! I rock! I created my character last night, but haven't actually played yet. When I logged in today to start learning, it said that somebody had already attacked me, but I won! I have no idea what "PvP"s are yet, but I've got 9 of 'em!

Just keep adding to attack and damage equally and you'll be killing things in 1-2 hits. I won't bother with the other stats. [img]/images/graemlins/smirk.gif[/img]

Too late. I already added my first two points to the defensive side. Doesn't seem to do much good though, so I can definitely see your point. Since buying a shield and armor, and leveling up on defense, two rats have killed me. No kills before that, including beating the player who attacked me.

Auction house is your friend as well. buy a ring of health (lvl 2 requirement +5 HP) should be able to get one fairly cheap if you have any patience. Also an ice amulet is decent (or the fire one)

im at level 3, i started at the beach and killed a bunch of rats but i couldnt do any of the quest there min level 5.

so i went to the mountains and i saw a goblin and im like yes finally anything other than rats, needless to say i was crushed.

after regaining the lost exp i am now able to kill natives and wasted a bunch of movement points going to the fire chasm for no reason (since i cant kill anyone there anyway).

Okay, for all the other newbs out there. One of the free FSP offers (Enfamil I believe) only requires you to print a coupon. That'll give you 3 FSPs, and you should be able to sell one for at least 10,000 gold. Then you can stock up on the max equipment and the first few levels go sooooo much easier.

kinda sucks that it costs 1 fps for the message does anyone in your guild want to buy them off me?

edit: never mind i realized people post that they are going to be buying anyway
also if you do the diamond quest (i bought it at the auction house) you get a ring of gordlite which in combination with me being level 4, i should be able to kill the next level of enemies , so im gonna hold on to the fps for now)

For what message? And I'm not in any guild; I just started today. I just looked at the shouts on the home page and sent a message to the player who was offering the most (nelf @ 12-16k). Once we agreed on a price, I sent him a secure trade and we were done in a couple minutes. I don't think any of this cost me any FSPs [img]/images/graemlins/confused.gif[/img]

Thx for the tip on the easy FSP scotch. I'll look at it later tonight. Almost level 5. Sniping auctions on this game is great. I wish I 'could' have more than one character.

Yeah, I'm buying the whole Infernus set soon as I hit level 5, got the Frostbite set right now. And don't sell more than 1 FSP, and make sure you get 10k bare minimum for it.

yeah try killing rats to get to level 2 and get those 3 free fps and sell them for at least 10k each and you will be set.

when in the auction house, go to search preferences. get rid of FSP auctions for now. Also edit the search so that the max is either your level or one above it.

Also joining a semi-decent guild will help get you started faster. I just made one, but it will be a long while before it's worth joining.

Guys if you wanna sell the FSPs, it's easy to sell them at 15k so I wouldn't go lower than that. Just look at the shoutbox posts for people buying them. But I don't think you need that much money at that level so just keep them, unless you want to buy a set or something.

edit: oh and the vast majority of our money is sort of hidden right now, we are actually in the top 75 wealthiest guilds. We are poor on FSPs though, so we need people to fill out those surveys.

Ok, my only problem is the PvP. It really doesn't seem like there's any punishment for going against another character (well Stamina loss and some PvP points). I think the other guy should also lose gold.

if you win a PvP match depending on how much gold the person has and the amount of stamina you picked (the more you pick, the more gold) for the attack, that character loses X amount of gold and you gain Y amount.

I'm not sure, but I believe the main point of PvP battles is actually for bounties, to make a player lose XP.

So FWIW, I messaged Scotch78 (Chilon in FS) and he hooked me up pretty awesomely. As someone that enjoyed LORD (Legend of the Red Dragon) a lot back in the day, this sort of takes me back to "simpler" gaming days. It's been a good time. More 2p2ers should join!
