Inspired by Toss:My Las Vegas TR-WSOP last year

First of all, I would like to state that Toss's trip report was the nuts; and because of that I was inspired to write about my last trip to Vegas. A slight preview: Poker + Strippers. That is it really. This is long, but I feel like it will make you laugh.

Rewind to June 29, 2006: Fresh off of winning 16k in a stars 162 and dominating the PP sngs I Miami32 and Assani Fisher head off to Vegas to demolish the WSOP. Yeah that is right people, demolish.

The travel to Vegas wasn't that bad as we flew via US airways. That says a lot considering I'm incredibly terrified of the air voyage that is flying. In fact this trip only had TWO incidents. One where I politely told the nice lady to TURN OFF HER [censored] IPOD, when they say no electronic equipment should be on and second when I asked the nice man to my left to please keep his window closed at all times while I'm in the middle seat. What can I say folks, I know the odds of death via flight are like 18 million to 1, but it scares the [censored] out of me.

We arrive around 1 PM, get are luggage, rent are car, make the standard wow it's [censored] hot out here comments, and move along. One Rio stop later to reserve Assani's spot in event 1 and we are at our house in Green Valley. Now before we go any further, let me state that I love Green Valley. It is in my opinion the best place to live in LV. It's far enough away from the strip yet only 10 minutes away. If that makes any sense. I feel like most people who have spent enough time in Vegas know what I mean. Our house is nice. It's a 3 Br mofo for only about 2k for the month and a half we were staying at that particular residence. It has a dirty pool and crappy pool table. The crappy pool table btw does not stop the self-proclaimed best pool player in the world Assani Fisher from playing non-stop. The [censored] table leaned so much to the right you thought the [censored] was gonna fall over.

After getting settled in, we headed off to the Bellagio for a little of that how you call it, Cadillac of poker, de no limit? We plunked out Internet poker playing asses in the first 2/5 NL game they could seat us in. Assani wanted to play higher, but it had been so long since I had really played live to be honest I was a little nervous. In fact I was so nervous that I started drinking Coronas from that point on whenever I played. I rarely drink btw which made it so amazing. I drank them to "relax" me. I don't really remember any hands as of note, but I do remember playing with Sam Grizzle. Can someone please tell me why this man played in just about every WSOP event, yet when I busted him in this 2/5 game he headed his old fat ass straight to the race and sports book and sat there? Please explain thanks. So after a faint bit of nervousness, I booked a 1k win and I was happy. Woot Woot!http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...Picture010.jpg

Fast forward to the next day. I drop Assani off to dominate the WSOP at 11??? And promptly pick him up two hours later. While he was busy showing off his trusty Internet poker skills, I decided that we should go to the strip club later on that night. Seriously, I made teh decision, and no one, and I mean no one, was going to stop me or us from going. After picking up Assani from the Rio, I tell him my decision and he says ok, but first lets play a little no limit. So after showering and changing we head off to the Wynn.

I like the Wynn. It's perty. We head to the poker room and I sign up for the 2/5 Cadillac, and Assani signs up for the newer upgraded Cadillac 10/20. Assani gets a seat and a little bit later I get my seat as well. Now oddly, even though it's been about half a year since this trip, I remember this session very well. After downing a couple coronas and running pretty well, I noticed the man next to me really didn't like me. Now this struck me as odd, because normally I'm a very quiet poker player. I feel like this is standard for most Internet guys when they can't hide behind their monitor. At least it certainly is for me. Anywho, this man wanted to stack me. He really did. As far as I could tell he just wanted to punish me for no reason what so ever. He had this scowl on his face like I ran over his dog or something. So then this hand came down. It goes like this.... I have the JJ in the SB, folded to angry man on button who limps, I raise, BB folds, angry man calls. I don't know if it was the liquor, or the fact that it was midnight and I wanted to get a strip club fast (no one told me they are open 24 hours in Vegas), but I announced all in blind. So I did, and he called, and I was sad, but he mucked when I flipped over JJ on the river. WOOT. Up another 1k. The angry man now looks pissed. Time to go. So I walk over to the high limit area and notice my gambling partner Assani heads up against this Asian man with blue hair. The man with blue hair was rich. He had a sick diamond watch you only see on rap videos with Diddy, and bricks of cash on the table, which I’m pretty sure, were the size of my bankroll. Color me impressed. The blue hared Asian man at the Wynn strongly suggested we go to the Spearmint Rhino. We decided that when it came to strip clubs, how could you not trust an Asian man with blue hair, so we headed to Spearmint Rhino. Oddly, we did not know how to get there, so instead of being smart and asking the valet how to get there, I decided to call 411 and ask for their number. Talk about the funniest 411 convo I've ever had.

Before we go any further, I must explain to you my past with strip clubs. I have lived in MD and Vegas both off an on for the majority of my 20s. While in Vegas, I never not once went to a strip club. While in Maryland oddly, I've been to a couple. I actually took home a stripper once from the club night shift in Bmore while in college yet, I pussied out and only made out with her (biggest beat of all time). Since that time though, it has always been a huge fantasy of mine to nail a stripper or date one for that matter.

So we arrive at Rhino. I've got about 1k I'm willing to drop here. Granted I don't want to spend more then 2 to 3 hundred or so, but if naked titties say I must, then naked titties say I must. Now, once again before I go any further let me tell one and all how much of a fan of the Spearmint Rhino I am. Never in my entire life have I seen so many hot women in one place. Now I know most on this board are not fans of the fake boobies, well I sir, am. In fact, I'm a big fan. So maybe this place may not be for you. But if you can indeed get past that, I can't think of a better strip club to go to. This place was absurd. So Assani and I go get two beers, which weren’t too over priced IIRC and plop our Internet poker playing asses down at the stage. Apparently we are pretty good at the sitting part.

Back to the stage. I'm a fan it to say the least. It's cheap, you get to sample the goods, and the ladies don't expect much. When they do find a big spender, I feel as though they are happy about it. Granted, I’ve got a very small sample size. So an hour goes by and we take in the splendor that is the Rhino. Now, I can't speak for Assani, but I was having the time of my life. A dance later from some random girl I couldn’t say no too, I see her. There she is. The girl I will blow all my money on. Chandiss. This woman can spin on her head. It's amazing. No kidding, she was on stage, spinning on her head. http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...0/CHANDISS.jpg

This is the end of part one. This story is long, and it will prolly be like a 10 part series, so if people seem to like it, let me know. Otherwise I will abort mission at some point. Granted, I hope everyone likes my TR.

Lol at the sprained knees comment.

Update #2 will come tonight at around 10 or 11 EST.

To elaborate more on the head spinning thing-she would do pretty much a handstand, but her head would balence it, and then she would use her hands to spin herself. It was pretty sick. I feel like you have to have an uber strong neck to accomplish that.

Woah, I just saw this right now. Very nice report dude, there's some sort of weird pride I get when people are inspired to write up their own trip reports. I can tell the part about the strippers will be awesome, way to end of a cliffhanger. [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

PART 2

Trip Report Part 2:

So I sit in my chair, corona in hand, eyes fixated on the skinny blonde who has the ability to do splits while spinning on her head. Color me enamored. After she returns to normal standing position I make it rain like Adam Pac-Man Jones sans c-notes and handguns. She comes over and I ask her for a dance. She explains that she has to go to another stage first but she will come right over after. Fantastic. After waiting in sheer excitement for a couple minutes I realize that I need to go freshen up for my fly young lady. I head to the bathroom. The Spearmint Rhino has a bathroom that offers so many colognes it rivals most high end Neiman Marcus stores. I splash on a little Burberry simply because I hear Jay Z rap about it in his songs. So of course it clearly must be money. Toss the bathroom guy a 5 spot and go about my way. I sit down in my seat to find my dear friend Assani chatting it up with a fine young Asian tart, when all of a sudden my hot young buxom blonde sits down in my lap. One could say I was delighted to have her in my lap, but I will say mildly happy. I decide to run with the 3 songs for 100 because it was all I knew about at the time. She said ok and off we went.

Once again I must preface that I had never been to a Las Vegas strip club. In the small amount of time that I was indeed in the Rhino I did learn that just about anything goes here. You can touch just about anywhere except what the panties cover (beat). Regardless, up until this point I was used to the no touching rule so I highly doubted I would be touching Chandiss at all.

We got to the low roller room and I immediately didn’t like it. It was crowded, really crowded in fact. If the low roller room was a hotel, this one had zippo vacancy my friends. And as much as I like looking at naked ladies, I don’t like looking at naked ladies grinding on dudes other then me so I wasn’t really to happy. Regardless, Chandiss seemed to remove the room and it seemed like just the two of us. It was a good dance. We talked. She asked what I did, where I was from. I lied and said I was from Vegas. I dunno it just sounded better. Better to be a local then a dumb tourist in town for the WSOP. She told me she was from Denver and other stupid crap I don’t remember. I was just concentrating on the important stuff. Chandiss seemed very sexy to me, and I ended up getting another set of 3 from her. Slowly but surely, I was very much becoming a big fan of Chandiss and the overall vibe that is the Rhino. As the last dance ended I politely told Chandiss to hit me up later and I will prolly get another dance from her. She explained that she had to go to stage again, but she planned on coming to see me anyway right after. Wow, how about that. Color my pants and me happy. I was no longer mildly impressed to say the least.

I return to find my seat and no Assani or Asian girl. Well ok, this is awkward. All alone at the strip club with no one to talk to. It turns out it wasn’t that awkward at all. I just ordered another Corona and checked out the goods until Chandiss came back. Dirty old man in making I am.

A couple minutes later Chandiss again sat down in my lap. Hooray naked blondes! I pondered with her where my dear friend Assani was. She asked me if he was a poker player like me, which I exclaimed indeed he be. She of course told me he must be in the VIP room. VIP room? What is the VIP room you speak of??? 200 for the ½ hour 400 for the hour and you have to buy drinks. VIP, well I’m sold. Let’s do it. So off to the ½ hour room we went. I offered an hour, but she said the ½ room offered more privacy.

The ½ hour room was better. You walk through these glass doors, meet the big bouncer who has the ability to kick your ass. They log your time and you go sit. Each stripper and idiot has a little cubicle. Its not totally secluded, but it’s much better then the $100 dollar room. The drinks were ridiculously over priced. Something like $12 dollars a drink. Chandiss ordered water and that [censored] was still $12 bucks. The sick part about it was the bar, which sold me the same drinks for like 50% cheaper, was less then two seconds away. I guess you have that 50% markup with the waitress. I didn’t care, I had a naked lady and she was about gaaaarind baby. Let’s get it on.

Well, after that talking/drinking, I felt more comfortable with Chandiss and I was running my hands all over her body. She would periodically take my hands and have me grope her chest. And about 3 times we full on French kissed. It was very nice. To be honest it was the most intimate strip club experience I’ve ever had. She told me that I smelled good and that my hands smelled like soap and that I had no idea how many dirty guys she came in contact with. Whatever, I just kissed you. Ship, holla. At the point I realized how much a strip club can turn me a college educated intelligent young adult into a 14-year-old high school freshman. Whatever I don’t care.

At the end of the hour I decided to go find Assani. He indeed was back in his seat alone drinking another corona. He asked if we could leave and I said sure. He then politely boasted to me that he got that hot Asian girls number. As I was giving Chandiss a hug good bye, I realized I could not let my poker-playing friend out do me, so with a bulge in my pants and an empty wallet, I swallowed my dignity and asked for her digits…She gave them to me. Ship, holla. She then went on to tell me that I should definitely call her tomorrow cause she had to work Thursday. We could get lunch or something. She said this at least three times as we were leaving. She gave me a kiss on the cheek and I left. At this point in my WSOP trip, I was up $1200 in profits ($2,000poker-$800rhino=$1,200) and one strippers digits. I was one happy camper.

As we drove home we exchanged details of the night. Turns out Assani really hit it off with this Asian girl. Her name was Vivian. He was gonna give her a call in a couple days he said. He didn’t want to seem too interested. As we were getting out of the car I asked him why he was by himself when I came out. He replied oh, I didn’t want to spend anymore money. So I asked him what he told the strippers when they came up to him to ask for dances…

“I have no money.”

I will write part 3 tomorrow or so, maybe even later tonight. Who knows. Off to subway!

Tomer is officially DEAD MONEY. He has a hat that says so.

On the WSOP main event broadcast from like 2003 where he busts out 5th or so they refer to him in one of their color segments as an example of dead money. I would tend to disagree with that assessment.

[/ QUOTE ]I've never played with him other than that one time(and really nothing other than that one hand), but I think it was a pretty poor play on his part.

I had previously shown a bluff(got called and lost), so perhaps thats why he thought I was making a move, but still....

I was less than an average stack and got AK in EP. I knew I had to make a move soon, so I decided to limp and try for a re-raise. He raised, and I went all in. It was a significant raise. He called with AQ.

Anyway, enough of the hijack. Lets get back to talk of strippers.......

Part 3

So the 3rd day of my little Las Vegas adventure began with amazing optimism. I was going to demolish poker and get naked and have sexy time with a Spearmint Rhino seductress later. Good times.

The plan was to play at the Bellagio till 4 or so and then call Chandiss. For some odd reason after about 30 seconds of thought, I decided 4PM was the optimal time to call her. In my head 4PM=+EV. I have no idea why, but whatever.

I arrived at the Bellagio around noonish. The poker room was swamped. Every NL game was full and at least had 8 names on the list. Nope, no NL for me today. I guess I will have to settle on the Geo Prizm of poker. Limit holdem. Its slow moving and efficient. It's also my old bread and butter. I quickly get a seat in the 30/60 game and realize that the WSOP must be in full effect because the people are idiots. Now in my college days before I got into poker, I never understood how people could just toss away their hard earned money and to a degree I still don't understand it. These people had no idea about the concepts and intricacies that are the Geo Prizm of poker. They just tossed money about. Sadly today was not to be my day and I ended up a loser. I got zippo hands all day. The only hand to note was my aces that got cracked by K10 off suit. King on the flop, king on the river. At least I folded to his river bet. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

It was 4PM.

I promptly got up from the table. In fact I could have been in a hand for all I know. I abandoned that table like I was OJ and the table was a murder scene. I headed to the race and sports book for privacy and made the call.

Ring......Ring.....Ring....Ring.....

Her phone ringer was "Sexual Healing." The second I heard this I was certain I was having sex tonight.

Ring.....Ring...Ring....

Answering machine.....ZOMG, what to do....

[censored]! So I proceed to leave the worst message of all time and don't leave my digits. I of course realize this right after I hang up the phone. [censored] [censored] [censored] [censored]! WTF am I gonna do now. I can't call back, that is uber desperate. I just got PWNED by a cell phone [censored] answering machine. Are you kidding me??? As far as I was concerned that was the first official bad beat of my Vegas trip.

So I went home, sad and depressed. How was I to turn around my sudden misfortune? What should I do? She surely must have gotten into some murderous car accident. She said call her 3 [censored] TIMES. Needless to say I was no longer delighted with my day to say the least.

The night past with no call from Chandiss. The next day started with a severe lack of enthusiasm. The plan was to hit up the RIO and play da poker. Assani was going to play event #1832783 or whatever it was and I was going to check out the SNGS they offered.

Before we go any further let me state how much I hate the RIO and Harrahs for that matter. [censored] you Harrahs and your $10 dollar food voucher. [censored] you Harrahs for your horrible rake. [censored] you Harrahs for the terrible dealers you bring in for this. [censored] you Harrahs for your [censored] Casino, [censored] poker room, and [censored] American Grill. And last but not least [censored] you Harrahs for that long ass walk I have to make every time I come to your [censored] casino to play in some bad structure WSOP event. Oh and thanks for all your advertising to bring the fish, but other then that, [censored] OFF!

The SNG rake was bad, but they were so beatable it was sick. I played in about four $175 SNGs IIRC and PWNED two of them. I was going to take one of my entries and sell it, and use my other entry into the $1500 LHE event. After a decent amount of thought, I was pretty certain that I could win on average 2 out of 10 SNGs. I honestly felt that if I played 10 per day I could win about 1k per day. These things were super soft. All I had to do was get up and go to the RIO each day. Not to hard right?

So Assani ended up busting out of his event and we left the RIO around 6ish. I remember telling Assani my plan about SNG WSOP domination and him telling me I was an idiot. But I disagree; anyone who is a good SNG player has an edge in those games. Granted I may every once in a while grossly over estimate my skill, but I'm certain I could do what I mentioned. Moving on...Once we arrived home I did some thinking. I decided it was best since I still hadn't heard from Chandiss that I should GO BACK TO RHINO. ZOMG, MIAMI32 IS A MORON! I was clearly very worried about my young buxom tart. All I knew was I had to see my lady again. I told Assani my new found plan of glory and he of course made a face that looked like someone had just [censored] on his leg. Never the less, I would not me dismayed. I was going to the Rhino....
