Need help choosing art for my house $$ to winner
 

I would like to buy 1 or 2 paintings for my house. Will ship $20 on either Absolute or Party to anyone who discovers a painting that I go on to buy. I am particularly interested in landscapes and city scenes. I dont really own any proper art only prints. I will probably end up getting an Alexei Butirskiy and would appreciate comments/opinions of which of his paintings you personally like best. They can be found at this site http://www.whittkrauss.com/art.asp?f=&a=6&p=1 among others. This is a reasonable indication of the sort of thing im looking for. I have a budget of up to 4k per piece(dont have to be originals can be grychees or whatever they are called)

Shadow: My mum likes Monet so im gonna pass b/c I dont want my house to look like hers lol

I like Alexei b/c his paintings are pretty dark in general if that helps anyone with suggestions.

I first saw them in vegas in an art gallery in aladins cave I think. I also really like the cafe scenes of his. I find it really hard to pick because his more colorful/beautiful ones like autumn leaves probably wouldnt suit my room as much and everytime I think ive decided on one I change my mind. I really like Winter and Nights in white satin as well as Cafe Luminar and Autumn leaves. Some of the city shots look a bit cartoony sometimes but im not sure if thats just the quality of the pics.

Anyway really appreciate your input guys even though its such a personal thing choosing artwork you like.

I would definitely go with Ansel Adams prints. He has some amazing prints of landscapes.

With prices i've inquired before and I think theyre about 2200usd for a Giclee which is a canvas reproduction. I think Originals are about 25k for the Alexei's but im not balla enough for that

I want to get a nice painting that is subtly [censored] up. Like a carnival scene with smiling kids and and cotton candy, but way in the back is some dude beating the hell out of his kid. Something you'd have to really look for.

Here are a few pieces that I have in my home, I think you might really enjoy them. The best place to find these pieces though are Ebay. Don an open search for a London based artist named Banksy. You will love his stuff.

Also, do a search in Google for Hulton Archives. They are photographs from a deceased music photographer, very cool stuff.
