I didn't know anything about this place until Gild came stomping into STT and started calling things Donkaments. I threw a tantrum which was sorted out via PM and I thought I'd look around here. The dislike of OOT was enough to convince me to stay.

ty for nice post.

Ratio of people thinking I'm male/female has shifted from almost exactly 50-50 to 85-15 in recent times.
FWIW I've always stated that it doesn't matter on an internet board if someone is m/f (unless it's a question aimed at a certain gender, which I never answer) and so have never posted it for sure. I like being anonymous, otherwise I'd post under my real name I guess.

Lori is CRAZY.

My guess is a 33 year old woman.

Edit: Also, if you think gender doesn't matter on an anonymous internet message board, why would you pick such a gender specific screen name, and on top of that choose a girly avatar?

Gender specific screen name comes from a MUD I used to play where gender was relevant. I thought it would be fun to bump into people from that game, so I kept the name.
lorinda avatar was chosen by someone from the zoo(yes I do remember who) months after I started posting (There were no avatars for a long time), it's Claudia Schiffer. I can't remember if Lori avatar was voted on or not, but I asked for opinion before I used it.

think everquest/any mmorpg, except text-based

so you type /north, and a text description comes up of the room you've entered.

Re: lori

Lori is a great poster so just leave questions about his/her gender. It is irrelevant to the quality of posts and he/she isn't masquerading as either gender, although the name and avatar hint towards being female (although many male posters have female avatars). But most likely if Lori was a girl, she would just come out and say it, so I would say it's probable that Lori is male...

...unless it is a hot chick trying to keep 2p2ers from drooling all over her! ZOMG I MUST KNOW PICS PLZ K THX

i played a MUD a long time ago, then started talking to the creator, the guy was awesome and refered to everyone who has middle aged and wasted endless hours on the game he made as idiotic plebians, he made the game when he was like 14 and has lived off it for like 15 years or something, pretty funny/awesome, this is totally irrelevent but thought it might have anecdotal value

Lori once threatened to sue people because Alobar pointed out he was a man.

I think you'll find a lot of older posters that really dislike him, and with good reason.
