I saw them in 1996... hard to get over their political rants (which should be at an all time high)... but the music is awesome.

Thank you for this link, I'm stoked. Even though I'm on the east coast, I may try to get my ass over there for this. Could easily be my last chance to see them. I had tickets for a show that was cancelled due to their breakup, been a sore spot for awhile.

This would be cool, but Coachella just doesn't sound like fun to me. I'm not a dirty hippie or a tweaker, so I don't think I'll be able to handle whole days in BFE.

Last 4 years, the only sellout date was when Radiohead headlined day 1 in 04.

I'm neither of those and wasn't sure I would like it but I went last year for the first time and absolutely loved it. Great atmosphere, met a lot of cool people, listened to some great music. I was going this year no matter who was playing but the awesome line-up is an added bonus.

Yeah, I went a few years ago when the Pixies reunited. It was awesome to see them live, but the whole thing was pretty rough. It's always going to be hot as hell there and there are ton of people. I think it would be tough to do for three full days.

I saw them back when their first video hit the air. It was in a tiny club in phx...that was way way overfilled beyond capacity. It was awesome but I was really high and really worried that if I fell down I would be trampled to death

Have you looked at all the bands playing over the 3 days for $250? Check out the Coachella thread. BTW, they say this is the only show.

Hopefully this will lead to "This is awesome, we need to do more of this" once they start playing together, although doubtful with the success of Audio Slave.
