PARTY POKER : VIPs Acceler-8 your bonuses

Dear XXXX,

This VIP-ONLY PartyPoints offer is hopefully something you wanted and like nothing you’ve seen before.

This is the ‘Acceler-8-tor’ promotion, running for eight consecutive weeks, where you can DOUBLE how much you can win each week – with even MORE bonuses at the end of the promotion!

Here’s How: For each of the eight weeks we will set you a regular PartyPoints weekly target.

Starting When: Wednesday, February 8, 2006; 00:00 a.m. (ET) to Tuesday, April 4, 2006; 11:59 p.m. (ET).
Your regular points target, which will remain the same each week, is: 4820 regular party points.

All you have to do is reach this target by the end of each week of the promotion (Tuesday, 11:59 p.m. (ET) and we will redeem your points and give you a bonus of USD 300!

That’s not all! For every additional 10% you earn above your regular PartyPoints target, we will give you an additional 10% bonus. This rises in 10% increments up to 100% (double!) your original target.

So if you earn double your target in regular points, you will earn double your bonus!

As an extra incentive, you get an extra bonus which will increase each week that you meet your points target!

For example (based on your base regular points target):
No. of Weeks Target Is Hit
2
3
4
5
6
7
8

EXTRA Bonus Payout
$20
$40
$75
$150
$300
$600
$1200

So login today and start earning points. You can win up to 20 times your weekly bonus over an eight week period!

Re: PARTY POKER : VIPs Acceler-8 your bonuses

Thats a healthy 6000 dollar in bonus if you play out of your mind for 8 weeks. But no bonus points count and Im at blue level. So thats a crapload of hands.

I guess your plead for incentives has come true, MicroBob!

@jba

I guess you dont get all the weekly bonuses, but just the highest one. so it would be 3650 dollars.

But you may play up to double that if you like, for a 6060 dollar bonus.

$120 for 1510 points here.

The mail says regular points, so that means that happy hour points and such doesn't count. But does it also mean that it doesn't matter if I'm blue, silver or gold?

Gildwulf 02-07-2006 05:25 PM

Re: PARTY POKER : VIPs Acceler-8 your bonuses

5650 for 310...at 10/20 six max jackpot tables (24 points per 20 raked hands plus 1.5X for silver) this is like 1-2 days of multitabling. Best promo evarrrrr.

damn, this will make Party a tough place to play, with all these VIPs playing out of their minds for 8 weeks.

Re: PARTY POKER : VIPs Acceler-8 your bonuses

"I guess your plead for incentives has come true, MicroBob!"

I was hoping for REALISTIC incentives.

I'm getting $525 for 13k points each week.

Damn dude. That's a lot of points.

I'm gold-member and am playing mostly 3/6 (at gold that's 1.2 points per raked-hand).

So that's about 11k raked-hands to get 13k points (regular points only...because they say that bonus-points do not count)..
or about 22k total hands per week at 3/6 (about 50% raked).

My goal is likely being set ridiculously higher JUST because I played so freaking much the one weekend that I won the party cruise (at the end of December).

Also - because I particpated in the cruise promotion it would be virtually impossible for me to get any points in all 8 weeks.

If they do not restructure my goal for me I don't see any realistic way I can participate in this promotion.

Also - I'm confused about the 'reach your goal for 8-weeks' thing because they say I can earn up to 20x my weekly bonus.

So if I were to somehow do this in all 8 weeks I would get $2100 in bonus for EACH of the 8 weeks?
I'll have to look at it again.

And I might have to ask Party to give me a different bonus that I can realistically attain...but they have proven to be pretty inflexible on such stuff so far.
However, they are listening regarding things such as 'play 10% more and earn 10% more' (which only makes sense) so perhaps they will consider coming around on this too.

I'm out the door right now and don't have time to look at it further.
This offer looks like it is going to be a total DREAM for many of you.
But for me it's an AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL lot of hands (which also may not be SUCH a bad thing because I do need to play more....but geez that's a lot of points I have to earn).

Wow Bob, you really seem to get screwed by PP a lot. I don't know anyone who could play that many hands at 3/6.

lol. Email from my friend:

Your regular points target, which will remain the same each week, is: 34500 regular party points.

All you have to do is reach this target by the end of each week of the promotion (Tuesday, 11:59 p.m. (ET) and we will redeem your points and give you a bonus of USD 900!

Re: PARTY POKER : VIPs Acceler-8 your bonuses

My offer: 1,470 points for $120.

$480 bonus for hitting all 8 weeks.

Seems doable. I play 5/10 6-max. Blue level.

One question: Party talks about "redeeming" your points for this bonus in the emails. Does that mean you don't get to keep the points to spend on their new store?

Re: PARTY POKER : VIPs Acceler-8 your bonuses

$140 for 1795 points. Extra bonus payout from $10 to $560. I'm still BLUE, but not too shabby anyway. About 5.5k hands at 3/6. I dread the TAG army though...

Re: PARTY POKER : VIPs Acceler-8 your bonuses

I got $65 for 840 points.

This is 400 raked hands per day at 3/6 to get $1300...a little much for me but not terrible.

BTW, the way I calculate this is $0.058 per hand, which is about 30% rakeback at 6max. Probably considerably more at full tables. Also, given that about half of hands are raked at 3/6, it is +0.5 BB/100.

MicroBob 02-07-2006 05:39 PM

Re: PARTY POKER : VIPs Acceler-8 your bonuses

Wow.

34.5k points is ridiculous.

I thought 13k points was a lot.

I played some 5/10 and 10/20 BBJ when I was doing the cruise promo in December.
but I had a rough losing stretch lately where I played like a moron. I'm no longer playing 5/10 and 10/20 (for the time-being) and I'm also playing fewer tables than I was before.

So since I'm not a 5/10 or 10/20 6-tabling+ 6-max maniac I would hope that Party would work with me on this.
I'm NOW playing fewer tables at a lower limit.
But they are still viewing me as a much higher-volume player at a higher limit.

e-mail sent.
We'll see what they say.

Can anyone figure out where the 20x your weekly bonus thing comes from if you play all 8 weeks? Again...I'll have to look at it more closely.

Re: PARTY POKER : VIPs Acceler-8 your bonuses

245$ for 4110 points. silver status. im figuring 0.9 points/hand which means ~4.5k hands/week, which is cake. unless the points only come in for raked hands? anyone know? FWIW, 73% of 5-10 (6) hands are raked according to PT so its still attainable either way.

Gildwulf 02-07-2006 05:40 PM

Re: PARTY POKER : VIPs Acceler-8 your bonuses

Hey all, can someone who is better at match calculate the following for me, or, even easier, just tell me how many raked hands you get an hour 1-tabling six-max:

1) How long would it take 2-tabling 10/20 six max at the non jackpot tables to clear 5650 points? I am a silver member so it would be 1.5X and it clears at 18 points/20 raked hands

2) same question, 2-tabling 10/20 six max at jackpot tables at 24 points/20 hands

3) same question, 4-tabling 5/10 six max at non-jackpot at 12 points/20

4) same question, 4-tabling 5/10 six max at jackpot tables at 15 points/20

I think 4-tabling the 5/10 jackpot might be the best option for me because there is no way I am ready to 4-table 10/20 yet.

Sorry for the hijack.

I think I might have gotten the shaft worse than anybody so far.

Silver Level
3900 Points
$120

I have emailed them and asked them to reconsider, perhaps giving me a new offer.

Keep in mind that I've been playing a high volume of almost all $11 and $22 SNGs. There's just no way I could reach 20x the bonus. I think I would have to play about 125 tournaments a day for 8 weeks at the $22 level.

Adde 02-07-2006 05:41 PM

Re: PARTY POKER : VIPs Acceler-8 your bonuses

Hypothetically, if there was such a thing as 20% rakeback, my offer would almost be equal to that. In that case, the extra bonus payout would be the incentive.

Re: PARTY POKER : VIPs Acceler-8 your bonuses

You can get 20 times the bonus because:

8 weeks where they allow you up to 100% ekstra = 16

Plus 4x bonus on top if you qualify all 8 weeks.

Total 20 times the bonus amount.

in your case 20*525 = 10500 dollar bonus.

But I agree, its asking too much of a human being.

I think what they're saying is that the total sum of all the bonuses you can earn can be equal to 20x your "1 week" bonus offer.

So I assume this means you hit 200% of your bonus each week, so that's 16x your weekly bonus, plus 4x bonus for hitting every week.

The math looks right on mine.

Its starting to make sense. I though my offer was horrific too when comparing to everyone (1595pts for $75). I played mostly $11 and $22 SNGs in January and this is my first month as a VIP. I'm guessing SNG pts are not worth as much to them so we get the shaft. Unfortunately, I'm switching over to cash games about a month too late to get credit for it. Oh well...free money is free money I guess.
