Bodog Update Regarding Neteller & Payouts

Just got off the phone with Bodog Support.

In addition to no longer accepting Neteller deposits, they are no longer doing withdrawals through Neteller either.

Also, as of two hours ago, they are no longer sending out checks as he told me banks are not honoring them any more.

I found this hard to believe & questioned him on it twice & he kept telling me that's what the Finance department was telling him. I asked him jokingly if the check said BODOG on it or something, he said no.

I had to link my bank account directly through Bodog so they could process a wire transfer to my account.

Anyway, I hope this works, geez...

I hope this works. Bodog sounds like they are trying to run for the hills with our money? Please keep us updated on how this turns out..

Re: Bodog Update Regarding Neteller & Payouts

I will let you know what happens, they said the wire transfer should take between 1-3 business days before it hits my checking account.

With things changing almost hourly, I'm a bit concerned as I've left much of my roll on Bodog.

I doubt they bought Betcorp and Bowman's US player base just to close down.

They are not leaving with our money.

This crazyness has to [censored] stop.

Re: Bodog Update Regarding Neteller & Payouts

Bodog now says (through email & subsequent phone call) that they need verification of my bank account.
I just photographed some cancelled checks & my bank statement & sent it to them.

Why they didn't tell me this verification was needed before, when I was on the phone for 20 minutes with them requesting my cashout & giving them all my checking account information I'll never know.

Re: Bodog Update Regarding Neteller & Payouts

I don't think Bodog is trying to screw anyone over. There's a lot going on here. People are withdrawing large sums all at once and information is changing by the hour.

Re: Bodog Update Regarding Neteller & Payouts

SirArthur, are you pulling your whole roll out of Bodog?

I'm watching this thread with interest, as I have a sizeable chunk of my BR on Bodog. I wasn't planning on moving it (or at least not all of it), but if this is the only method to cashout I need to set up the EFT -> checking account mechanism, too.

Please update this thread as you get more info.

Thanks.

Edited to add: I am not panicking, as I don't expect Bodog to go away, but I'd rather be prepared...

Just got off the phone with them -- they said they were having a problem with their usual check-processing company (i.e., a completely different story than the one you were told), but also said that until it gets resolved, they were covering all Western Union transfer fees.

No I'm not taking out my entire Bodog roll, I w/d a shade under 10K. I plan to leave enough in there to continue playing.

I just got off the phone with Bodog Support to ask if my EFT or Echeck had been processed that I requested 9 hours ago.
Unfortunately, it hasn't. He said it hadn't because they are experiencing technical difficulties. It is que'ed up, but hasn't been processed yet. He assured me the issue was on their end & had nothing to do with the whole Neteller debacle & nothing to do with Poker Stars not accepting Echecks anymore. BTW-I brought up the PS thing.

Obviously, I'm a little concerned, but have confidence this withdrawal will come through.

Bottom line, no W/D with Neteller. (like everyone else)

No W/D by checks any more. This is weird, they give a vague answer when I ask why this is the case, as I asked them again.

Evidently you can w/d with a couple other e-wallets providing you have accounts with them of course.

*I'll update this later as I plan on calling them this evening to see if the EFT has been atleast processed.

Hmmm- i put a request in to withdraw some money last night, by insta-check back to my bank. I'll keep you posted.

I set this up a long time ago, and I had to go through the same verification process. It's pretty standard.

I don't see why they would have a problem just mailing a check to us.

Please keep us updated.

I assumed the checking account verification process was standard. I just thought it was odd it wasn't mentioned on the phone when I asked him if that was all they needed. No big deal though, that went smoothly atleast.

I can't understand the check thing either, especially since it coincided with the Neteller debacle, it certainly can't be a coincidence.

Dear Mr. xxxxx,

Thank you for contacting Bodog Customer Service. We do understand where
the confusion is stemming from in
this case. Both of the answers we provided to you were correct, however
they are referring to different
types of checks.

Paper checks, which you are asking about specifically, are not being
honored by the banks when they are cashed. This is something beyond
our control, and as such we have stopped issuing paper checks.

Electronic checks are where we are having problems with our check
processors. This is a technical issue on
our side that we are working on, and is unrelated to the paper check
issue that you were asking about
specifically. We do apologize for the mix up.

Should you require further assistance, please do not hesitate to
contact us.

Best Regards,
Customer Service

Re: Bodog Update Regarding Neteller & Payouts

Just got off the phone with Bodog support.

The processor they use for EFT's (Echecks) has pulled out & they have no way of issuing payouts at this time.

They are trying to implement their contingency plan, but could not give me a time frame when that would be up and running.
His best advice was wait a couple days and see if their back up plan gets activated.

He also said that Western Union was still an option.
Looks like this is the way to go for the time being.

Re: Bodog Update Regarding Neteller & Payouts

SirArthur, what was involved in getting a Western Union transfer? What info do you need to supply to Bodog? Is it wired directly to your bank account or is it wired to a local WU office, which then cuts you a check (or something). I've never used them to transfer money so I don't know what the process entails.

Thanks...

I've never used Western Union before either.
I didn't have to provide Bodog with any further information.
FWIW-My checking account info. has already been verified with Bodog.

Bodog told me I'd receive an email within 24 hours instructing me on what to do.

Apparently, they give you a name and a 10 digit code then you have to go to a WU outfit and they will cut you out a check.
We'll see, I'll keep you guys posted.

Wow. Thanks for posting. I just called and they said my request for yesterday was approved, and should hit my bank account tomorrow. But they said the company doing their direct bank transactions stopped accepting their transactions early this morning. They said it was related to the Neteller issues.

But they agreed to send my money thru muliple transactions via WesternUnion. They can't process individual transactions over $5k, so they'll do multiples without any issues, and cover the WesternUnion charges.

Bodog was very easy and honest to deal with.

Lucky you, you got yours in just under the wire I must have just missed it, as I requested my payout at 1:00 a.m and missed the cut off.

I see in the other thread that he was told the maximum w/d is 3K. My Western Union request is far greater than this, & they didn't indicate that this would be any sort of a problem. I hope it's not.

I'm confused with your payout though.
Was yours an EFT (done through WU?) or did you go through Western Union and have to go to an outfit to physically pick up the checks in multiples of 5K?

**edit** I concur, BD phone support is easy to work with especially considering all the current confusion & uncertainty.

They said the max for one check was $5k, but they could get around it by doing multiple transactions for $5k.

My Payout last night was EFT, like I've always dealt with them.

The payout today was through WU.

Wow, that sure was fast.

So to clarify, from last night to this afternoon, your Western Union transaction has already been completed.

Meaning you went to a local WU office, & picked up your check already? Or have you not done this yet?

That sure seems fast as they told me I'd get an email within 24 hours instructing me on what to do.

I'm glad you got your money and I'm confident I'll get mine as well.
Like I stated before I've never used WU before and I'm uncertain of the process.

I put my request in 20 hours ago, and have not received an email yet with my Western Union code.

I just got off the phone with Bodog support & he said later today I should get mine.

He also told me they process them in the order they receive them.
So much for that though as someone who put one in 12 hours ago (see other thread on BD W/D with WU) and has already received their code. Although it's encouraging that he got his since Bodog told me Western Union is a new w/d method for them.

Re: Bodog Update Regarding Neteller & Payouts

I just got home from picking up my money. Some tips (for those who
might not have used WU before):

The third email you get from Bodog will contain your pickup info--transaction number and name, address, city and country of the "person" who sent it. You will need all that info to complete your WU claim form. Print the email and take it with you, or write the info down.

The grocery store where I got mine cashes payroll checks, so I knew my rather piddly sum would be no problem, If you are cashing a large amount, might call the place you plan to pick it up and make certain they can cover it. I would guess that as WU agents, they "should" be required to have cash on hand to cover any cashout, but might be a good idea to check before you head out.

You will need to show photo ID---no surprise there.

So--it worked--had my money in less than 24 hours.

Thanks for the helpful tips.

Three emails, I've only received one saying my payout has been issued & it may take up to 1 business day to complete the transferring.

What does the other email entail?? As the final will be the WU instructions.

Do they pay in CASH then, since you said call ahead to see if they have enough?

This could be a problem for me as mine is a rather large amount.

The second Bodog email just states request has been successful. (The first simply states request has been made.)

Yes, they just count out your cash and off you go.

Calling ahead might/might not be necessary--dunno. Right now my perspective is skewed. My city was hit by a horrendous ice storm last Friday, and we are still in a world of hurt. The store where I picked this up was running generators and operating on half power.

Edit: Meant to put this in the other Bodog thread. Sorry.

Re: Bodog Update Regarding Neteller & Payouts

OK, more info, as I just got off the phone with their support:

1. Max $3k per withdrawal. Bodog will cover the fees for one withdrawal per week. Additional withdrawals can be made, but you have to cover the fees, which amount to $163 for a $3k withdrawal.

2. They are looking into alternative eWallet services and InstaCheck services and hope to have something "soon." (I know, not exactly breaking news, but the woman I spoke with was very positive sounding that they would have more options soon).

I initiated a $3k withdrawal over the phone, so perhaps I'll have the money by the end of the weekend? Interested in seeing how the other larger withdrawals are handled; I would not expect all WU "agents" to have enough cash on hand, but maybe I'm being pessimistic.

Wow! Look at those fees, much higher than I would have thought.
What's surprising is I'm doing a cashout near 10K and while on the phone with Bodog numerous times, nobody has mentioned the 3K limit or any sort of fees except that Bodog was going to cover them.

Maybe that's why I haven't received my WU instruction email since mine is a much larger amount.

Anyone tell me how long till I get the final email.
I used to get this one daily when I cashed to neteller and frankly money was in my account in hours not day sometimes literally minutes from time i put in cashout.
