Re: iPhone
ZOMG so sick
|
Re: iPhone
It looks sick, I know I'll spend most my time with it worried about scuffing it up, but I still really want one.
Edit: I guess it will be able to make Skype calls too, at least I hope so. |
Re: iPhone
Yeah I hate reading about the new awesome AAPL products coming out. This + iTV + widescreen iPod = dumping AAPL a while back some real shrewd investing on my part.

I might actually pay $500 for this. It's going to be exclusive to Cingular, can anyone say if that's a good or bad thing?

Re: iPhone
they didn't announce a widescreen ipod, correct? just that the iphone will have itunes built in and function just like an ipod (albeit w/8GB memory).
one thing I found interesting is this phone is actually running OSX. |
Re: iPhone

[/ QUOTE ] Turnip - just thought I heard on CNBC that AAPL announced wireless, widescreen Ipod. Googling doesn't show official announcement, but I think this product has been in the works for a while over there. They filed for a proximity sensor patent in June, and I always thought it was for both the widescreen Ipod and Iphone. -Al |
Re: iPhone
LFS,
"It's going to be exclusive to Cingular, can anyone say if that's a good or bad thing?" I've been on Cingular for a while now and coverage has been great in SF, NYC, and Houston. |

I always assumed that they were using the same technology in their widescreen Ipod - which of course, if you actually touch the screen is retarded. Can anyone confirm / deny / explain the multi-touch / proximity sensor technology in this thing? LFS - I've been on Cingular for a while in LA, it's good. -Al |
Re: iPhone
I've only ever had cingular and I think it's great. When I first got a cell phone (2003), coverage was a little weak at my folks' house in SE rural MA. I was just home for christmas and it was crystal clear.

Re: iPhone
I bought an Ipod. It worked great for 4 months. It stopped working.
Can I expect any better from this thing? |
Re: iPhone
OMG, I'm trying my best to hate Apple and their overpriced "they'll make something better in 6 months" products, but with my new love of the Nike+ and how awesome this phone looks, they are winning me over. I like the thinness of it, the major reason I have a RAZR. I don't care so much about width, I just care about it looking slim in my pocket.

No QWERTY. Not very fast, no tactile typing. Accidental typing in pockets, dirt, grease and scratches all over screen that you also are supposed to use for viewing stuff.
