Gifting Brags: whatd u get ur parentals?
 

I got my dad a week (7n/6d) fishing trip for him and I in Belize fishing the Turneffe Atoll. Basically sick flats fishing for bonefish, tarpon, permit etc. We have been most other places and he was really juiced about the present. It's cool to be able to give back to your parents when they have done so much for you.

i love them very much. but i'm pretty sure if i bought my mom an expensive piece of jewelery she'd want me to return it. they have more monies than me and would rather see me spend my monies on myself. or at least on my hot half asian girlfriend who i will be making unprotected love with once she gets back from europe with her family.

For My Dad I set him up with one of my old Dell 20" LCD monitors. Probably worth about the same as the Bose including install ~ $350. I also gave them both Starbucks and Panera giftcards and a couple books.

Yeah, I don't think I will ever spend this kind of money on my family. They wouldn't want me to/wouldn't be comfortable with it, nor would I want to receive really expensive gifts from them.

i gave my mom my iBook G4, which was practically unused. and $100 gift cert. she's never even had a computer before so it was a big deal for her i guess

If you're talking about the Bose Sounddock for the iPod than kudos to you sir. Great sound. I enjoy selling those at work. It's just too bad the HiFi from Apple only comes in white and it's shape makes me spew.
