This is stunning. I just saw him on TV yesterday hosting the CBS NFL studio coverage and he looked fine. This just goes to show that you can go at any time.

glad i got to see him twice before he died. he was still amazing at his age performing like a 25 year old.

I was playing at the Aladdin a couple years back and some dude at my table said something about James Brown still going, and another guy at the table said that Jimmy Page declared JB as the best CURRENT musical performer. lol.

I don't know much about JB, but I respect anything out of Page's mouth.

No matter how high you rank him, James Brown had a huge influence on music today.

I have (had) tickets to see him in Calgary on Jan. 10. This sucks to wake up to on Christmas. Rest in peace.
