Anybody feel like sharing figures on what you get back a month from RB

I currently just play at stars and havent bothered looking around for rakeback deals cos i've just felt that their VIP program is ok ish. Obviously its not the best and i'm interested in looking around for a site with decent traffic and RB that would be a better deal.

I have accounts at a few places but none of the main sites I keep hearing about that have good RB (eg. FTP, UB, some primas)

What could a 50nl or 100nl player that plays between 50k - 80k hands a month get back from a good RB site?

Also i've never dealt with rakeback before and I see everyone asking for pm's from affiliates, is there anything to look out for when choosing an affiliate or am I just supposed to trust the first one I get a pm from? (cos obviously there's been stories about people getting screwed by an affiliate)

Sorry if these questions seem obvious or stupid...i'm new to this. Could some people pm me with offers please?

Thanks

For the main sites (UB, Absolute, FTP) you don't need to ask for PM's, there's a bunch of trusted sites you can use.

For others such as Doyle's room you'll need to as for a PM.

As far as figures go, I can't help you on that but I'm pretty sure you could look at your rake paid in PT and multiply it by whatever the % RB is at the site you want to play at.

you are giving a lot of variables in terms of the number of hands per month as well as your stakes at which you play which will make a relatively large impact on what your rakeback amount is per month...but based on some of the info you are providing about your playing habits, my guess would be that you could earn anywhere from $1,000-$2,000 in rakeback per month with a rakeback percentage of 25%-30%. Hopefully this helps, and it will definitely be worth your while to find a rakeback deal.

Thanks for the reply RBD, that helps a lot, never knew it would be that much (even its a vague estimate)

i'd say very vague and very optomistic.

Ehh..not really. I play about 40-45 hours a week of 3-6 and 5-10 LHE, my rake for the month is usually between 6-7k.

Chex, fwiw, quoting #hands is a better context than hour played... especially since you don't note how many tables you are playing

Definitely, along with the fact that you pay out more to rake playing limit compared to NL.

i get around 2k a month playing NL 400, 20k hands a month at absolute. So, using rough math, i'm thinking you'll end up with around 1.5k a month playing NL 50, around 65k hands a month.

(plus on top of the 2k in rakeback, i get around 1.5k in bonuses)

WOW!!! I was right about to post asking something along these lines. TY OP for posting this. I'm a moron for not getting on these sites w/ RB. I was stoked about hitting Supernova on Stars thinking I could get back $750ish/month via the FPPs (assuming I earn 50k FPPs/month).

I know this is probably against forum rules, so please be discreet in answering or PM me. I just want to know if anyone has heard of affiliating themselves on these sites? A friend of a friend used to affiliate himself on Party back in the day (until Party caught him and froze his account). Is this sort of thing somewhat of a common practice (although obviously not talked about) or am I somewhat dillusional?

Note: I've never used RB on any sites if you couldn't tell, hence all the newb questions.

thanks
GB

If you review the affiliate T&C's, you will see that Most sites consider playing under your own tracker to be "fraud traffic"... and this can be interpreted pretty loosely. Also, some sites, will close you down as an affiliate, if you don't continue to bring in players.

In other words, it is not worth the risk of getting caught...

Not anymore you won't (unless you're a really loose player).
