Re: fastest final?

Last year I had a final in CS480 that took me under 10 minutes and I got 100%.

Although I was not the first the finish and I believe at least half the class got 100% on it. The professor was the kind of guy that liked teaching and didn't like grading, so while it was a hard class, he refused to ask questions that had more than a 1 word answer so he could grade it more easily.

I needed 3% in the final of a criminal justice class for an A... 75 multiple choice, 25 T/F... all B's, took about 2 minutes.

I got a 37!

Re: fastest final?

That's gutsy...some of the multi-choice tests I have taken have been very lopsided in what choices they ustalize. How did you choose B?

10 seconds. I had a class that if you had over a 93% in the class you didn't need to take the final. BUT, you were required to show up and turn in your test ei. put your name on a piece of paper. Easiest final I have ever had.

Re: fastest final?

9 multiple choice + 1 short answer. The short answer question was "What is your name?"

WTF classes are these for? ALL of my finals count way too much to be able to do this.

Re: fastest final?

attitude of getting the test over and done with quickly is somehting I will never understand... you work all semester just to take this test and then you don't use all your time? I finished my math final in 1 hour vs. the 3 alotted, spent the next hour double checking and making sure my work made sense... do you really have that much to lose by spending an extra hour or something in your final? I understand if you don't need to show up, or just need to write your name, or only need a 3%, but are there any people taking serious finals [like that alot 2-3 hours] and turning it in super early? What's the point?

Re: fastest final?

Usually they're the worst students, those who can't do all the questions. If you can't do a question, you can't do a question. No sense wasting the last hour of a 3 hour exam. I suppose it IS +ev...but really...just a waste of time.

In real classes final exams pretty much aren't able to be done in less than 2.5 hours. Having kids peace out after an hour and a half is the sign of a class and/or exam that is way too easy.

Or your really bad about questioning yourself, only thing i really do is on essays (which are 95% of what i have) i go back through and read it to make sure it all is as clear as possible. This takes 5mins then im done, I then find someone else who has finished and grill them on their answers to see how they compare to mine.

All my finals are worth 55-70% of the total course marks.

I choose not to race everyone in the exam room

Re: fastest final?

my final today is worth 60%, I will probably be working on it till the last second

Re: fastest final?

I've never timed myself, but I usually get done pretty quickly. I remember one introductory computer course (data structures), I spent about 10 minutes on each test (midterm and final) and missed a total of 1 question (out of about 100)

I rarely find anything I wanna change when I review my answers, so I don't spend a lot of time on it.

Re: fastest final?

The way I treat the finals typically is no need to sit and stress over a question I dont know. answer all I know then turn it in.

Re: fastest final?

I took one today in 4 1/2 minutes. There were 55 mulitple choice questions, all of them straight from the online quizzes for the chapter.

I started at 9:02 and had my pencil down at 9:06 and like 30 seconds. If I dont get all 55 right ill be pissed.

No. My final for Race Relations (150+ class) was 25 true/false questions. Took 10 minutes.

Reading this thread makes me sad, I've never had a final like the ones you guys describe and I don't think I ever will.
