When I won my first ever live donkament I played in (field of 50) I thought that meant I was good enough, little did I know lol donkaments.

In cash games I know I can make it, but ever since discovering variance and how easy it is for [censored] players to win short term in limit it really makes me feel down

This is so true, when I first started I would think, " What if he bet his flush draw on the flop and turn and now he caught it on the river"

Sometimes I wonder if some players even think when they play.

Probably the first time I crossed $10,000. I hadn't discovered the concept of BR management yet, so I still had a couple more BUSTOs ahead of me, but I at least knew I could beat the games.
