Borgata -- Thanksgiving -- 20/40 LHE -- how many tables

I'll be in Philly for T-day and planning to make the trek out to the Borg on Friday or Saturday. How many 20/40 LHE games will be going? When should I get there to avoid a long wait.

Thanks.

yup, black friday one of (if not the) busiest days of the year - will be interesting to see how the new room handles the traffic

Any guesses as to how early one would want to get there and how many tables of 20/40 might be going at peak?

Thanks.

I don't think getting there early will be as big of an issue as in the past. I wouldn't go out of your way to get there at 7am... just show up sometime in the afternoon and I can't imagine you'd be waiting long, if at all for a 20/40 seat. Can't estimate number of tables they would have running, but I'd be shocked if it were less than 5.

While we're talking about this... what are other big days/weekends of the year? I was in AC on Labor Day this year, and it was a freakin' aquarium! Was wondering what other times of the year lots of casual tourists come to play...

Last year on Thanksgiving day there were 2 20-40 games going and the one i was in was absolutely nuts. Saturday was busy, but not ridiculously so.

Any holiday weekend type of thing is going to be this way.

anyone who guesses would be wrong since Borgata's new room is too new for us to predict.

Or they could just estimate using data from other very busy times this year that the room was open, such as Labor Day or the WPT event.

Just remember if you can't figure out who the turkey at the table is .........GOBBLE GOBBLE GOBBLE

You all know I hate the borgata well not hate.... Just like old school casinos....

But I'll give you this one. If your going to play in a casino on Thanksgiving of all days you might as well play somewhere that you can get a DAMN good meal at.

Halloween comes first though I would suggest dressing up in smelly rags as your costume. You can tell everyone your dressed up as a "Homeless person" your smell will put people on tilt. And even if you lose you can still go out to the boardwalk and beg for some of your money back

Thanks, CCx. 7am is a little early even for me though I'm not above wandering into a cardroom at 4am looking for tilty stuck dudes in short-handed games.

Sounds like it should be a good time in any case.
