*Official* Suggestions for Stars Thread
 

I dunno why nobody's made this yet. Looks like lots of us are moving to Stars, and looks like Stars is interested in what we have to say, so I think we should gather all our suggestions into one thread.

Anyway, post your suggestions for PokerStars here. Hopefully Lee'll read it.

Edit: Also, we really want Lee Jones to read this thread and take it seriously. In order to encourage him to do so, please don't complain about how Stars is rigged or ask for things that Lee's already said he won't do (like rakeback).

Software is too slow, so speed it up. It shouldn't be too hard to fix, and it would also mean more money to them.

Points to cash at a rate of 50%+ rakeback. Online poker is absurdly expensive and whilst Stars' rake schedule is better than most it's still criminally high considering the overheads. They are in a position to set up a near monopoly if they were to do this.

They won't of course, not a chance, but that's what we all want. Until then, I'm staying at Full Tilt. Better games and less rake.

I'll start:

1) Speed up everything. The crazy drama every time someone goes all in is costing both professional players and Stars money. It obviously doesn't appeal to the average player that much because the average player played a lot on Party, where everything was very fast.

2) Synch up the breaks of your MTTs. I.e., have all MTTs break from 1 PM to 1:05 PM and then from 2 PM to 2:05, etc (maybe every hour and a half would be better?). This will make multitabling tournaments WAY easier.

3) Allow users some way to queue up tournaments. I.e., if I want to play 12 25+2, 9-man turbos, let me sign up for 12 at once instead of having to go back and forth between the lobby and my tables.

4) Allow me to rebuy in fewer clicks (preferably one). Right now, maintaining an 100 BB stack on multiple tables is very difficult because I have to click the chips then the "Add more chips", then OK.

5) Keep up the good work. Stars is awesome.

3. satellites to daily tourneys
4. more big tourneys
5. more limit tourneys, maybe one day of super limit
6. start tourneys with 2500 chips rather than 1500 (i know they won't)
7. wpt winner's choice tourneys
8. automate deal making process
9. make buying in for the max the default in nl or make an option button to automatically do this

Sat into Super Monday, Tuesday,,,,, type tournaments

Have more that one SNG tournament signing up at a time at each limit. They fill up too fast a lot of times to get in.

and just copy some of the other things that worked at PP

Consider putting the $ value next to the actual chips in the middle of table (in addition to the pot size info on top). For those of us who play PL it makes the game easier to follow.

Make the default rebuy larger than 10 bets in limit. If you won't do that, allow us to set the default rebuy ourselves. I hate having to type a number in while trying to play.

Remove the smallest stakes to get the casual players to move up. Or just have beginners tables with a time limit, if you want to keep the small stakes. It worked for Party.

Buy PP, fire their support team and reopen to US players.
After that, close Stars.

Add the feature that Ongame has, where when there's two all-ins and the cards are shown, the percentages show up of the chance of those hands winning, as some of my friend who are fish state, "wow, just like on TV!"

I think number 6 is the best one, it wouldnt increase the time of tournys that much at all and would give people a bit more chips to play with( also no they won't, But why not????)

More $10+1 deep stacks. I see there's a lot of Saturday ones, but how bout some Friday Deep stacks at the lower buy-ins. I have to work Saturdays, but not Fridays.

Have a 2.5x and/or 3x BB button. Raising 2x the big blind in NL is dumb, and yet every poker site has a button for this. I hate having to manually type in a standard raise each time.

This has been No. 1 on everybody's list (ok, maybe not the high stakes players) and it has not happenned yet.
Stars tactics is to feed the big fish with the small ones to keep alive those high stakes tables that generate that lovely rake...

Add a level between 50/100 and 100/200. Similarly I guess, no need to jump from 10/20 NL to 25/50, that is pretty steep - why not add 15/35?

Sort out the blind structure for HU. This is big, please please do this.

Better incentives in terms of rakeback, bonuses, VIP store etc.

2) Stop being a snob site that treats lower stakes FR/6 max NL players like they are meaningless and only caters to the mid stakes and high stakes limit/NL players who make supernova etc

3) Partial points...see above

4) Create a simply all black on black type theme with the waffle cards

5) Offer monthly bonuses...you've already made it so that they clear at a snails pace...don't be greedy and assume everyone will go to your site cuz your pokerstars...give them a reason too.

Left one out:

There needs to be a 150/300/25 level in the tourneys that don't have them. 100/200/25 -> 200/400/25 is really brutal, especially in the 180s.

I'll make the most important post.

1. Focus on recruiting casual players.
2. Do whatever necessary to attract fish.
3. Conduct promotions that will attract weak players.
4. Come up with nifty marketing ideas to attract new people to the game.
5. Target casual players.
6. Promote the game to average, everyday poker players, so that there is good game selection.
7. Focus on continually attracting fishy players.
8. Conduct monthly promotions such as reloads, freerolls, etc. to attract average, everyday players.
9. Attract more fish to the games.
10. Come up with creative ways of promoting the site to the general public.
