Game Idea

I've had this for a while, but never got around to posting it.

six teams: Purple, Green, Brown, Yellow, Blue and Red

four players to a team.

Every game day you vote someone off. Teams can talk privately at night (or maybe any time).

Winning team is the one with any members left at the end.

Pretty simple really, maybe there could be wrinkles later. When someone dies you learn their team.

Re: Game Idea

So what happens when there is 1 member left of 2 or 3 teams?

Re: Game Idea

seems like this ends in a multi-way tie a bunch, but it could be interesting nevertheless.

I can imagine the role-claiming. Sounds like fun.

I think the game balance favors blue too much. Tweak it a little.

I was working on a similar concept at one point, except each team member had a special ability, and each team had the same composition (for example: each team could have a seer, angel, killer, and vote buyer).

My mom actually was planning out a game like this, but she never got it off the ground. It may have been my lack of enthusiasm towards it, but she should have just ignored me.

Don't forget to ask, "What can Brown do for you?"

Hi there... checking out your forum.
I think multiple team games are fun... mine is just 5 teams, not sure if I could handle running a 6... it is difficult to create balances in these types of games for good/evil. Guess we'll see how it goes.

Re: Game Idea

My game that I just thought up

5 Teams, red green blue black white

each team:

killer
seer
angel
blocker
binder

Each day, a player is voted off. His role/color is revealed.

Each night, all players X individually do a night action.

Killer: Choose up to two different targets. They each lose 1 HP (all players have 2 HP)

Spy: Choose a player. For the rest of the game, you can see all the night actions he makes. [Spy sees his type/color]

Angel: Choose two targets Y, Z. For both Y and Z, they cannot be targetted by a night action. This fizzles if the target and Angel are the same color.

Blocker: Chooses any player. That player cannot target anyone for their night action. This fizzles on "Blocker"-type targets.

Binder: Binder X chooses a player Y. In the day, randomly either "(X,Y)" or "(Y,X)" is revealed. If X and Y vote the same way, they receive double votes. This effect is cumulative.

Leader property: Players on each color team are ranked before the game. The highest ranking player may assume any type that a dead player on his team has. (Example: Bob, John, Mary, Joe, Patrick are playing, ranked in that order. Patrick, the Blocker, dies. Bob can use a Blocker ability instead. His type is still Killer.)
