Leonard vs. Mayweather
How would Floyd Mayweather in his prime do against Sugar Ray Leonard in his prime? To help you answer this question check out the videos below. I'm not showing Mayweather because chances are you've just recently seen him fight.
Leonard vs. Ranzany Leonard vs. Price |
Re: Leonard vs. Mayweather
Its difficult to compare the competition each faced. However, SRL handed out some really brutal ass whippings in his career.
I don't think FM is as dominant a fighter as SRL. NEesss |
Re: Leonard vs. Mayweather
Leonard.
Mayweather hasn't fought a live body since leaving 135 some 4 years ago. He has fought two live dogs in his entire career: Corrales and Castillo. He certainly talks the talk but never walks the walk. |
Re: Leonard vs. Mayweather
Floyd would beat Leonard into the ground. He'd do the same to Hagler.
He'd have real problems with Hearns and Duran, though. |

Also Mayweather is an arrogant ahole ,doesnt fight much and ducks the best fighters. |

You don't consider Arturo Gatti "live"? [/ QUOTE ] Gatti trains where I live and it is painful to watch the beatings he has taken in his last 2 big fights. People love him because he's such a brawler but I hope he stops fighting now-I'd had to see him be another victim of pugilistic parkinsons. |

But, Hearns was winning for most of the fight and was ahead on all the judges' cards. All Hearns had to do was make it to the end of the fight without getting knocked out and he would have beaten Leonard. |

Gatti is entertaining but that is all. Floyd has talent. He needs to step up. |
Re: Leonard vs. Mayweather
It's a shame a guy with that much talent seems so dedicated to fighting stiffs.

Re: Leonard vs. Mayweather
Mayweather has no competition. He makes everyone he fights look like a nobody. He seriously is the real deal.

You can't begin to use the syllogism that if a beats b and b beats c, then a would beat c. Leonard sets up much better for Mayweather than Hearns does. |
Re: Leonard vs. Mayweather
Who would you like to see him fight right now? I think one of Mayweather's biggest problems is that he doesn't get paid like the best fighter in the world should. I don't think he ducks anyone, I just think he is undervalued by promoters. Why fight a world class fighter for $3 million when you can fight the Gattis of the world for the same money?

Floyd would beat Leonard 's wife into the ground. He'd do the same to Hagler 's wife . He'd have real problems with Hearns and Duran 's grandparents , though. [/ QUOTE ] FYP |
