Biggest fraud to testify in front of congress?

Meryl Streep on Alar for the left wing looneys.

Michael Crichton's novel "State of Fear" for the right wingers.

Who else?

This is a easy one. Baseball players not sure if you can put them in the right or left camp.

The oil executives rank up there as well.

Video of Ted Stevens refusing requests to have them sworn in when they testify. Gotta love it!

I have a problem with any Congressman or Senator calling someone else a fraud.

Kind of funny because I was going to say in my original post, "Every time Ted Stevens speaks". The 'No' speech, with him wearing a 'The Incredible Hulk Tie', on the bridge to no where is just priceless.

Nice reply, I chuckled. I followed those hearings quite closely and was convinced she was mostly lying or exaggerating(for personal or political motivations, who can say for sure?). I do confess I have not read the many books that came out in the aftermath of the hearings which probably shed important light on the subject, but given her employment history with Mr. Thomas, the testimony of many of Thomas' underlings vouching for his character(a few quite attractive, articulate women who also worked for him for a long period of time), and the importance to the Left of blocking the nomination made me highly dubious of her claims.

I don't care if he is a fraud. It was priceless to watch him tell them all off and treat them like dirt.

Yeah, but who believed that? The tobacco executives were damned if they did and damned if they didn't. The hearings were the real joke, the tobacco industry was an easy whipping boy for politicians looking to score points and eventually fill their states' coffers.

They were under oath. If nobody believed them they should be in jail for committing a criminal act. Next to impossible to prove without a wiretap or something similar but still. It makes a mockery of the whole system.

The whole system was a mockery to begin with... which was the point being made.

If you want to talk about broken oaths which destroy the system, start with the oath to support the constitution...
