Phil Gordon\'s Little Black Book

Anyone know what this is about? A follow up to the green and blue books or something different?

It's a list of all girlfriends and their phone numbers.

Maybe that's what he's calling his first book, "Poker The Real Deal". It is a black book.

In addition to the upcoming blue book, there is an Amzon entry for a boxed set with the green, blue, and black book. I assume that's what the OP was referring to:

This is correct. According to buy.com:

[ QUOTE ]
The Phil Gordon Boxed Set includes Phil Gordon's Little Blue Book, Phil Gordon's Little Green Book, and the newly repackaged Little Black Book (originally published as Poker: The Real Deal) which includes bonus material. All of these titles explain Phil Gordon's lessons and teachings on No Limit Texas Hold 'em.

I am going with 7.5ish because he spends quite a bit of time telling you how to play made hands and I think that is mostly filler. Do not mistake this in any way with disaproval. I have the audio book also and listen to it in my car on a regular basis. It is a good book.

I have Final Table Poker DVD also and I like it except for the Full Tilt Poker Commercials. A number of posters have tried to convince me that commercials on DVD's that I bought aren't that bad but it is my pet peeve and I choose to stay peeved.

I found it very helpful as a limit player trying to learn no limit. I know a lot about how to think about poker, but wasn't as knowledgable about how to apply this to no limit. I'd rate it a 7.5 as well, making it a worthwhile read.
