Where is Stud8 spread ?
In know the Taj has the mixed Omaha8/Stud8 (5-10 I believe) Where else is it spread? Particularly in AC and Vegas. Thanks in advance to all replies.

Re: Where is Stud8 spread ?
Foxwoods has the game sporadically during the week, but pretty regular on weekends.

Re: Where is Stud8 spread ?
If you're ever in the midwest then the Canterbury Card Club in Shakopee, Minnesota occasionally has a pure Stud/8 game; I think the last time I was there it was a 6/12 game, but I'm not sure how often it goes.

Re: Where is Stud8 spread ?
Garden City in San Jose, CA has had 2-3 tables of 4/8 Stud 8 going every time I've been there.

Re: Where is Stud8 spread ?
If you ever make it out to LA a 40-80 runs most nights at HP and a 20-40 stud8/omamha8 runs pretty regularly too..

Re: Where is Stud8 spread ?
there is a 2-10 game at majestic star 2 (formerly trump's) in east chicago, indiana every saturday that starts around noon or 1pm
in las vegas, the only place i've played stud/8 was a 1-3/1-6 game at palace station that runs every friday evening... it breaks up by around midnight or 1am though when i was in san diego recently, there was a 1-3 stud/8 game (.50 ante) at viejas that appeared to be running every day... it's probably very difficult to beat due to the rake mike |

If I'm wrong and it is beatable I doubt that a person could make more than $3/hour in it. |

[/ QUOTE ] I was just thinking the other day I should PM Andy about this, but this seems like a good place to ask. Is this game still going regularly? I've been thinking about coming down to check it out, after playing quite a bit online the past month. But I haven't been to Canterbury for at least 6 months, so I have no idea what's going these days... |
Re: Where is Stud8 spread ?
I've only been to Canterbury twice since January. I'll probably get down there this weekend, though. Last I knew, the $6/12 stud/8 game was going fairly regularly on weekends and that was about it. We started a game six-handed a couple of weeks ago, and it broke after less than two hours.
The $30/60 stud/8 game went about three times during last year's Fall Classic, but every day during the 2004 tournament. There is always lots of good hold'em and Omaha/8 side action during that tournament. |

At least that's what they told me on the phone the last two vacations, Aug/2005 and Jan/2006. |
Re: Where is Stud8 spread ?
How often does this 5/10 Stud8 O8 mix game go on at the Taj?
|
Re: Where is Stud8 spread ?
Casino Arizona (just east of Scottsdale) spreads a 6 - 12 Stud8 game pretty frequently...Tues, Weds nights and on the weekends for sure.

Re: Where is Stud8 spread ?
The 6/12 stud/8 game at Canterbury goes every Friday afternoon. Sometimes it breaks up early evening when some of the regulars leave, other times it continues into the night.
The problem with this game is that the list is either a mile long and not moving, or the game is short-handed. |
