Is Jeff Lisandro a miserable pos??

For someone who makes a living at poker this guy sure seems like a miserable pos. Everytime you see him on tv he's talking [censored] or making some smartass comment. Anyone agree or disagree??

Re: Is Jeff Lisandro a miserable pos??

Have you ever met Lisandro or seen him?

He is not a POS, just cos he might do stuff on camera doesn't mean anything. He's a decent guy, not a jerk at all. Well respected by most and doesn't talk down to little guys in the slightest.

Please enough with the 'gossip' in this forum...

Nice Poll, OP

[ ] A+, would read again!

[x] "Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."

[x] He'll knock your head off if he reads this thread.

Edit -

And what's up with that black shiny shirt he was wearing in some WSOP episodes? Is that supposed to be some sort of fat guy muscle shirt?

I've played with him in some cash games and he's basically a quiet, courteous guy. Definitely nothing that makes him a "miserable pos," and I have a lot of respect for the guy.

ive played with him. he comes off as a good guy and relatively modest for the amount of success and skill he has. he also seems popular with the other name pros.

He is a well known exaggerater among top pros. He has been heard telling people he is up 20 million in the big game.

Not respected among the elite pros.

One time I was playing with him deep in the WSOP ME and he stole some guy's ante. We got into it because I kept not letting it go (not because of the ante so much as the brazen disrespect it shows the game to not have a code of honor among pro poker players) and eventually he threatened to kill me and got way out of line.

Then every time I owned him and showed him air in a hand he threatened to beat me up in the parking lot but the cameras didn't catch all that because they had enough footage of him being an ass and didn't want to overdo it, but yeah it was like a whole day of death threats and bullying. Biggest P.O.S. I've ever played against online or live, and I've played with just about everybody.

Heard by who? He told me he sat, was up 2 million then wouldn't sit again despite Doyle and Chip repeatedly inquiring because he knew he'd eventually lose it back if he stayed. Not a lot of guys at those stakes with their egos reigned in that effectively.

I trust the overwhelming support of him from many in this thread that have met him or talked to those who have but christ he does come across as painfully miserable on TV.

Seems like a class act every time he's on TV.

Re: Is Jeff Lisandro a miserable pos??

last year espn seemed to portray him as miserable foreign guy.

this year they have made him mr. nice guy.

i guess from watching last years coverage you kind of get that impression. this year ESPN makes him mr quiet guy great player who never wins at the WSOP.

as people have said with editing ESPN can do what they want to make a story better.

Re: Is Jeff Lisandro a miserable pos??

This year, having him go busto, then counting all the chips while he wandered off, then thinking he had chips left and calling him all the way back after he nearly walked out of the room, then when he gets back they say "oops, nevermind, you're busto lol" was comic genius.

I don't know how you guys get ESPN portraying him as miserable last year. If anyone, Prahlad was the miserable one. Lisandro reacted like most of us might if someone refused to quit acting like a douchebag and calling you a petty thief.

Re: Is Jeff Lisandro a miserable pos??

I've played with Jeff in some small buy in tournaments here in Sydney, and although the first time he looked like he had better places to be he was still polite to everyone. The 2nd time he was great - seemed happy to be there, spoke about hands, cringed when the TD announced that the antes were kicking in (guess he hears it all the time), told us about some of his sports bets.

All in all a good guy, and couldn't have been happier for him after his great 07 WSOP.
