Re: Where do most of your profits come from?
I don't know if I've played enough hands to really know but
AA,KK - LDO Sets Fold Equity in that order. |
Re: Where do most of your profits come from?
[x] all of the above FTW.
Seriously.... but of course you knew that. Can't just target one group of villains to make a nut. |
Re: Where do most of your profits come from?
However upon reflection I will give my answer as:
[x] playing poker IP.... against anybody. |
Re: Where do most of your profits come from?
Definitely FE out of these choices.
If any of you guys get it from people playing over aggressively then please please teach me. Also, I'm pretty sure that "players giving too much action when the shouldn't" does not mean fish or donks. If he wanted people to respond with "fish" or "donks" then he would have made that a choice and it would have been a stupid pole question. Amirite pokerboy or is that really what you meant. |
Re: Where do most of your profits come from?
Kind of a tie between two of the choices. I win the most number of pots because of fold equity. A good sized PFR and then a 3/4P+ C-bet and the pot is mine. It's usually only a net profit of 5-6BB, but they add up.
The larger pots, however, come from people staying in too long. The fish I've recently started to call "flush bunnies." They'll call any PFR with two suited cards and fold if they don't hit the flush on the turn. Or they'll call AI bets on the river with a 7-high flush (of course this is when I'm holding the suited Ace or King and absolutely crush them). I guess that I'd have to subtract all the times I've had to fold to a three-flush board. That means FE comes out on top. |
Re: Where do most of your profits come from?
aggression, hand reading and game selection in no particular order

Re: Where do most of your profits come from?
1p0kerboy I've seen you playing half stacks the past few days, is this just an experiment or a big change in ur overall strategy? I'm doubtfull it leads to a better winrate on the long run at NL100. I think shortstackin to exploit the overagressive players is far easier in Omaha games. So have u noticed a difference on your winrate when u play full stack or half stack? I'm quite curious here.

Re: Where do most of your profits come from?
I play live. There, the answer is...
[ QUOTE ] Players giving too much action when they shouldn't. [/ QUOTE ] |
Re: Where do most of your profits come from?
limp/call/check/bet/fold - delicious.
|
Re: Where do most of your profits come from?
certainly not AA>KK, being i havnt had one in my favor in the last 22K hands

I mean look at all the hands posted where people get stacks vs. stuff like Q high. If you take the money I've made with AA and KK and add it to the money I've made with any hands vs. people calling 2+ streets with high card then thats way over my overall profit. Maybe that means I suck, but people overplay stuff like J high all the time. I think this is a really stupid pole btw. Can anyone legitimately say that anything else is the right answer? I don't think there is a valid argument for any other choice. |

[/ QUOTE ] I like this answer, because I don't target a single group of villains... and I choose to believe it because otherwise I just get paid by donks and suck at poker. (I downloaded PokerEV yesterday and the graphs confuse and mock me.) |
