Pulp Fiction vs. Reservoir Dogs

My friends finally convinced me to sit down and watch Reservoir Dogs yesterday. I really like Pulp Fiction and went in with high hopes for Reservoir Dogs. I was definitely satisfied with the movie. A lot of what is great in Pulp Fiction is present in Reservoir Dogs (great soundtrack, long detailed scenes, memorable characters, and scenes that are just awesome). That said, I still think Pulp Fiction is considerably better (more awesome scenes).

What do you think?

yeah pulp fiction definitely has "more awesome scenes" since both movies are awesome and pulp fiction is like twice as long.

I like reservoir dogs better, but that's partly because everyone loves pulp fiction and I'm a rebel

Reservoir Dogs is awesome, Pulp Fiction is BAD-ASS

Reservoir Dogs is a great movie but Pulp Fiction has so much more going on. I love both flicks but Pulp Fiction easily takes it down HU.

Script writing even better in PF, though, hard to think of a single scene (outside the Bruce willis return with samurai sword to redneck basement) that matchs the pureness of the ear interogation scene in RD.

Movies aren't real.

I think it's close, but I guess Pulp Fiction is probably a bit better. The ear-cutting-off scene in Res Dogs is classic awesomeness though, along with some of the great one-liners...

pulp fiction was better. Both were very good, both are very overrated.

PF wins for me because the chemistry between SLJ & JT was just not there in dogs.

Also, PF is the only documented case of a white guy using the 'N' word with spectacular success.

I used to think Reservoir Dogs >>> Pulp Fiction and it wasn't close, but now it's definitely closer.

Bruce Willis with French girl scenes just tilt the [censored] out of me though.

They are both really good movies. Pulp Fiction wins because of all the different scenes and locations. It also wins cuz it made John Travolta a gangsta.

Also, what is everyone's favorite scene in each movie?

Reservoir Dogs: Stuck in the Middle With You
Pulp Fiction: diner scene at end

reservoir dogs: "so you go to the train station to pick up the buyer..with the weed on ya?" that whole little mini scene where he's telling them that fake anecdote.

pulp fiction: the OD / adrenaline shot scene.

Pulp Fiction wins overall, but Reservoir Dogs has better dialogue imo

Joe: "So, you guys like to tell jokes, huh? Gigglin' and laughin' like a bunch of young broads sittin' in a schoolyard. Well, let me tell a joke. Five guys, sittin' in a bullpen, in San Quentin. All wondering how the [censored] they got there. What should we have done, what didn't we do, who's fault is it, is it my fault, your fault, his fault, all that [censored]. Then one of them says, hey. Wait a minute. When we were planning this caper, all we did was sit around tellin' [censored]' jokes!"

I'd choose Pulp Fiction, and by a pretty good margin, too.

Because the movies are just OK imo but are people want to praise them like they are greatest films ever made and call Tarantino a genius and stuff like that, and its annoying.
