Yeah, I know...

Dad is from Cleveland, and his cousin sells BMWs to players, so the Tribe was a slam dunk since I was like six. I'm from Texas, so Mavs LDO. Mom is from STL, there were no Browns when I got into football, and I grew up hating the Jerry Jones and his Cowboys drug ring...the Rams were really the only natural choice for me. And now I'm at Purdue.

BTW, I hate you people who root for different colleges in different sports. Rooting for Texas basketball and Michigan football is retarded...pick one school.

I had a guy on my hockey team who cheered for the Wolverines in basketball, Michigan State for football, and Michigan Tech for hockey. It would kinda make sense if he was from Michigan, but the dude was from Mississauga Ontario.

Just as an aside, imo college sports allow you a one-time transfer of loyalty from your childhood rooting interest to your alma mater. (ie if you grow up in Pittsburgh rooting for Pitt and then go to Penn State, you may transfer loyalties to Penn state).

There are very few other times when a transfer of loyalty is allowed.

NFL and MLB haven't changed since I was born. I didn't care about the NBA until recently.

NCAA BB - I don't really pull for anyone specifically, except JMU and they never contend, but I like to root for UNC and Georgetown.

Only oddities are Gtown and Jax. Gtown is a long story that involves me hating Villanova. Jaguars are because my mother's family lives in JAX and when I was young the team was announced so my uncle brainwashed me into being a fan and have hated Oilers/Titans ever since.

Did you live in the 90s? Michigan wasn't that good, imo. 1 national title. Maybe if you liked FSU, Miami, or Nebraska. I wouldn't call Michigan the front running team by any means. They shared their 1 national title in the 90s.

yeah, tbh I've never been a huge college football fan, although I find that the Yanks/Cowboys/Bulls/Red Wings type of ppl usually also like Michigan, altho that may be because they have recently switched allegiances who knows
