fashion help

Im totally lost. Ive got a mishmash of either: A) light colored vintagy clothes and b) dark colored vintagy clothes.

I want to get an upgrade. I want it to be stylish and rockstarish. Cocky and scoundrelly.

Can you guys help me find some pics and ideas?

Re: fashion help

Hm, this seems like a challenge!

-How old are you? (student or professional?)
-Do you live in a big city of small town?
-Do you want these scoundrelly clothes to wear to work or for going out at night?

Can anyone help Dan Bright out here? I've got to go to work but I might do some searching online later.

Heh I was thinking along the same lines. Something about polka dots seems feminine.

My friend Chase wears a lot of stuff that I consider kind of rockstar-y, but also a little emo/metro...is that the direction you're looking for, because if so I can post some pics of his outfits that I think he pulls off really well.

Re: fashion help

The jeans on the guy in the longish coat look about half a foot too long. Is having tons of extra length in your pant legs the white guy version of gangstas having baggy pants?

Re: fashion help

std for hipsters/punk kids. Preps also rock them as well. Varvatos for Converse.

Blarg, many of these jeans are cut for only one insteam so length is standard. Most of the guys don't hem their jeans and simply roll them.

Thanks for the info, Maulik.

I tried to do a little searching for some scoundrelly looking clothes while sitting here at work and realized I didn't quite know what scoundrelly-looking meant. I think i ended up on a site for gay men. (Not sure though. They all sort of look gay to me )

Does rock starry = punk?

C'mon Katy. Punk != rock star. THIS is rock star:

In some instances the line is blurred, if you ask a rock star he'll say no. David Bowie was glam-rock artist, I don't think anyone would dispute he was a rock star during most of his career, yet he dresses nothing like other rock stars of his time.

Hey guys I'm posting from my new phone this is cool and novel for me. I'm 21, but I look more 24. I live in vancouver nowadays and today while shopping •no one• In stores had any idea where to get new rocks even... So if I could do rockstarrish in a way no one else could here that would rule. I want the look to be a bit rough too... So far I like a lot of dark vintage badas looking xlothes but they don't stand out as much as I'd like them to.

DL,

The jeans are sweet, you need to warm up to them. The laceless shoes are played out.

DB,

Your hairstyle is also integral to pulling off this look. Don't settle for anyone, if you're ever in Washington D.C. I'll reccommend several stylists.
