10NL - QQ overpair vs passive villain

Villain is very passive, 24/2 and very low AF.

I think this hand is fairly simple, but I the way villain flat called the flop raise really really scared me though the flop is pretty dry. What is our plan on the turn?

i think MP will have a big hand here unfortunately. I will bet and probably fold to a raise without at least a set. his flop play is pretty standard for someone with a set. I really do not see him raising you if you bet turn with anything but a set however I think he will call you down with top pair so I would bet turn an fold to his raise after some time and colorful language uttered.

Exactly my thinking, but if I bet the turn here about $4 it commits me to calling a shove...

I am getting about 5 to 1 to call....

If he raises you, you have to fold, given his low aggression.

However, if he flat calls, I probably value bet the river.

This sucks....but we have such good odds I think I call and hope for A 10.

but do you think he will raise you with any hand you beat? if getting five to one you got to be right 1/6 times and if he never raises with a hand you beat then you are right 0/6 thus meaning you cannot call.

I agree - so does this mean that I should not be betting the turn?

na keep betting turn cause he will keep calling with a T probably. you just need to differentiate his calling range with his raising range on the turn.

But surly bet/folding the turn is really ugly, if he shoves I will have to call, because I will probably be good 1/6 times here....

Raise smaller on the flop and continue to bet the turn.

that basically implies that you think he will raise you with AT or JJ if he somehow got here with it and if so then I agree. problem is I do not see him doing that especially if his aggression is low. I would tend to think the only hand that would raise you here that you beat on this turn is JJ. AT/KT is calling most of the time. Your opponent has to either think that you have an over pair or nothing to make a flop call like he did. he made it very clear on the flop he wanted to continue as calling was the strongest line he could take on the flop

If you make a reasonable bet on the turn you'll be putting in over half of your stack and basically committing yourself. Thus I would only bet the turn if you're looking to get all in. Stack to pot ratio is almost 6, so you need to decide if you want to move here. I don't like bet folding the turn though. He flat-called a dry board on the flop which tells me he likes his hand. I wouldn't expect him to fold to a turn bet. Again, I'd only bet if I want to put put all the money in. That's me.

Ok,

Thanks for the replies... it seems that no-one is 100% sure what to do here.... I think that I think that its going to be hard not to get it AI on the turn here though I think often I will be behind.

Results for this hand:

I bet the turn, villain shoved, I called and he had JJ --- my QQ held up.

However, I think that I was very lucky here....
