Good Vegas club to go to on Monday night?

Hey do any of you guys know of a good bar/club to go to on a Monday night? Basically a couple friends and I are trying to get some drinks and meet some girls. Unfortunately, Pure and Moon are both closed for Monday.

It appears the ones that are open on Monday are:

Jet @ Mirage
Voodoo Lounge @ Rio
Ghostbar @ Palms
Coyote Ugly @ New York New York
Rock House Bar @ Imperial Palace
Foundation Room @ Mandalay Bay
Lure @ Wynn Las Vegas
IBar @ Rio
Ivan Kanes Forty Deuce @ Mandalay Bay
Mist @ Treasure Island

I think going to Jet on a Monday night is the "in" thing.

It says the Foundation Room is "restricted"? Does that mean you need an invite or that you can just pay to get in?

Re: Good Vegas club to go to on Monday night?

My two friends and I pregamed in the hotel room at Treasure Island and then grabbed a drink at Mist. That bar pretty much sucks; it was tiny and you couldn't sit anywhere because everything was reserved.

We then went over to the Mirage around 9:30pm. We ask some guy at the door about the Jet club and he suggests that we get a table. So there is a 2 bottle minimum with each bottle starting at $375... wtf. But he said we could just do one bottle and we said we would. We had to wait around the hotel till 10:30 when it opened. Anyways we were standing in line for getting a table but then this Hispanic guy comes up and tells us he can get us in right now for $40 each. It felt like he might be trying to rip us off but it turned out he actually did know people there and was able to get us in bypassing the line. Because he got us in we decided it made no sense to pay much more for the bottle/table.

We got a couple of drinks and kind of wandered around the club for an hour or so as it got progressively more crowded. It was pretty good at the beginning; there was a lot of girls on the dance floor. The stripper pole dancing then took place. Some of these girls were incredibly athletic. One pretty much climbed into the rafters during her act, lol. The winner supposively took home 10k. After the competetion the bar got so crowded that we decided to leave... I'm so glad we did not pay for a table/bottle service as it is a huge rip off. Overall, Jet was a pretty good time.

We then made our way back to Treasure Island and I registered my 3 friends for a $60 sit and go there that had 20 people in it. I was so drunk at that point that I didn't care about entering everyone. I got 3rd for $300 and one of my friends got 1st for $600 (he then shipped me $100) so I actually ended up despite paying for 4 people.

the table is a much bigger deal then the bottles imo. If you're going to get the cheapest bottles, they're are going to be crappy, but the table gives you a place to sit and chill, bring girls back to, talk, etc. Something you can try for the future if you don't care about the bottle, is telling your server you don't want bottles, but you'll take care of him. Giving him a few hundred up front, plus tips later on should usually do the trick.

I know I'm just a lameo non-baller from the midwest but I can't be the only one who would just want to go to a club and hang-out and thinks it's ridiculous to pay somebody a few hundred just to get to sit at a table.

I see so many recommendations over and over that a table is the only way to go.
Can some of the non bottle-service-elitests chime-in with their opinions on the clubs (or at least consider that viewpoint)?
As far as just paying a $20 cover or whatever and hanging out at the crowded bar for a few drinks and doing it that way what's the game-plan? Arrive super-early if you don't want to spend 2 hours in line I assume is one of the rules.

Stuff like that.

I understand that my viewpoint is different from those who insist that spending that much for a table and bottle-service is the ONLY way to do it.
But some of us aren't quite as rocks-and-rings as others and I'm guessing there are many more people who go to these clubs who don't get the bottle-service than do.

Re: Good Vegas club to go to on Monday night?

it depends on the club. Clubs like Pure are ALL about table service. Small dancefloor and not much else to do, + like 5 different types of VIP. Places like Light are less about the table service so you can have fun at places like those. It obv helps to get table service to get you noticed by broads, but unless the girl's a ridic gold digger I doubt she's gonna suck you off just for getting a table.

If you're gonna go to clubs without getting table, try to go early so you actually get in, and if not, just try to bribe the bouncer. Ask him if there's anyway he could help you bypass the line, he'll ask you how many guys, you tell him, and he should quote you a figure.

Re: Good Vegas club to go to on Monday night?

I was reading somewhere that the bottle service/table was only invented 7-10 years ago. After just paying just $40 to get I cannot see how the table would be worth it ever. Since my two friends and I don't know anybody in Vegas I'm not sure what type of girls would be coming over to hang out with us unless we met them right there.

The guy who was basically advertising the bottle service said that he would have girls come over to our table. After the conversation was over my friends and I were kind of confused... we were wondering are they quasi prostitutes or something.

Re: Good Vegas club to go to on Monday night?

In my experience a club is only fun if you're on drugs or are meeting or with a bunch of girls already. Preferably both. You really don't want to be the dudes with a table and bottle who still can't get girls to come over. Or the table where the one dude with some $$ buys a bottle and then doles it out like a miser. Ugh.

Bottle service can be fun if you have enough ballas and chicks. But 9/10 times the people who get it just end up looking like these guys:

So if you don't get table-service when you go to Pure there is simply no reason to go? I really find this hard to believe although I admittedly have never been there.

What % of the people who go to Pure do NOT get table-service?
There have to be some people who do this and end up having a good time, right? Even people who go to the club (gasp) SOLO and are just there meeting people/ladies and drinking it up and having a good time.

Part of the table-service advantage I guess is to get away from the noise a bit and also to avoid the crowded-bar.

Loud or crowded bar, etc really doesn't bother me very much. It's part of the atmosphere I thought.
If I didn't want loud or crowded then I wouldn't be going to a club in the first place.

In fact, if I go to a club and it ISN'T crowded then that means it's kind of dead and I'll want to go somewhere else.

Note, when I get back to LV and go out to such a club it will likely not be with a group of guys.
Probably will be me and my GF wanting to go out and get drunk and have a good time.

The ghostbar is amusing, anyway. I'm 51, my wife about the same (still drop dead beautiful, and I'm so lucky)

We dropped by the Ghost bar on a Monday a couple of months ago - never have seen so many guys my age with girls in their 20's - VERY tough not to walk up and say something like "so nice to see a man spending time with his granddaughter"

Other than that, a nice view, overpriced drinks and mediocre service, so I'd give it a miss, I guess....

Re: Good Vegas club to go to on Monday night?

Micro-

I have been to Pure a couple of times, and even with a table reservation you have to fight your way to the front of the "VIP" line to get access to a host/hostess. On a crowded night at peak entry time, this can take 30-40 min.

The people without a table res/not on a guestlist have to wait in a line that is ridiculously long. I have heard the wait can be a couple hours.

I think if you are going out with a large enough group or people who spend a grip on drinks, then table service is something to look into.

It's very simple: there's a ton of guys out there whose only game is to conspicuously spend a lot of money, and there equally as many chicks willing to lead on those guys for free drinks. Club owners realize this and capitalize on it.

I mean you can go to Pure without table service, but just realize that club tries to cater to table service and you'd have a much worse time than if you went somewhere else, at least IMO. I think a lot of people go to pure w/o tables, but the dance floor is quite small and there are a TON of tables so expect to have a meh time.

I always tend to split up from my friends when I go to clubs, so I more or less go solo. I was too drunk to remember if I have fun at Tao, but Tryst was alright and Light I remember as being fantastic. If you're not gonna get a table i recommend Light. Decent dancefloor, good music, a great hallway with candles to chill, and I found it an easier place to meet people.

cool.

i'm dfinitely looking for these kind of tips for going solo or as a couple and not at all interested in getting a table.

Re: Good Vegas club to go to on Monday night?

I went to Pure w/ friends w/o a table, and it was ok. as said above, the best thing about the table is a comfortable place to hang out, and it gets you in the door (which can be a huge pita).

I would say the club at Hard Rock is the same, but you really want one of the booths down on the dance floor. the ones upstairs are 'out of the action'.

I'm not a club guy, but if I was with 5 buddies and that was the plan, I would recommend a table.

I'm not a big club-goer, but my impression was that (at least in NY, maybe not vegas), if you have enough people that drinking however many bottles of liquor is a reasonable thing to do in a night out, bottle service doesn't really have much of a markup over waiting to buy rounds of mixed drinks at the bar at $12 or $15 or whatever per.

Has bottle service become so standard and overpriced that this isn't the case anymore?

Can someone explain exactly what "bottle service" entails?

It doesn't sound like anything you can get here. (Australia)

You can have fun at Pure with or without the table, but IMO the table is worth it there. I've been there with and without one as well.

If you go without a table, you will be standing the entire night spending most of your night trying to hit on girls wandering around. Drinks are very expensive so it's easy to drop $100+ there after a few rounds.

If you get a table, you do have a private VIP seat you can retire to if you get tired or whatever. Girls are trying actively to get into your section and they approach you by the bunches instead of you having to approach them. And you get bottles of alcohol you can pour to your desired strength/taste. The cost ends up being $150-$200 per person, but being that you'd spend $100+ not at a table anyways, it is well worth it IMO.

Note - if you are going with just your girlfriend, forget I said that. It will be about $500 total for the 2 of you to get a table (1 bottle min. @ $350 a piece plus 28% tax/gratuity). In that case, it's cheaper to just get the $20 each cover and buy drinks at the bar. The extra you get at a table covers your convenience and hotter girls around, but it's worth it only when you can fill a table and you're actually looking for girls.

when you factor everything in, you'll pay more for bottle service (maybe another $100 pp w/ reasonable drinking) but in return you get the convenience of not having to wait in a huge line & a place to hang out.

Re: Good Vegas club to go to on Monday night?

as far as the bottle argument goes.. over the past couple months i have come to decide that i absolutely hate doing the bottle service table thing. every time i have just gone in, payed the cover, and done the bar thing i have had tons more fun and been LOTS more social. sure, its nice to have a table to go back to, but i have tons of fun playing games to make girls buy me drinks, and i always dance more as im out moving around much more frequently. when at a table i just kinda linger in that area and talk to the other guys doing the same thing.

Re: Good Vegas club to go to on Monday night?

I agree with Raptor 100%. You can meet a lot of girls at the actual bar as well as feel more desire to dance and interact, since you don't have the comfort of a table to go back to. I really like Tao at the Venetian, although it's tough to get into sometimes w/o a table. Always go to clubs with girls if you can, especially ones you don't plan on hooking up with.
