TeeDitty is apparently Tuan Le, who is running at 40/25 and a complete maniac. I can't repop him preflop because he shoves 90% of his range over a 3-bet and I really dislike mucking this hand against a player like him. Lead or check the flop? I'll post next action when I wake up. |

checkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

Re: 100/200 150bb deep - play along
c/c probably
|
Re: 100/200 150bb deep - play along
preflop seems poor unless you're very comfortable with this exact scenario
given your stacks, leading flop and opening yourself up for a raise seems awful, you've flopped a small pot hand and have running nut outs if behind can't see anything besides c/c on this flop, and if Aba gets involved you're done |

PF is definately fine against this guy, he looked very stackable to me. Also worth noting that while he was a total nut-ball, he was obviously very skilled...that river c/r AI vs aba was [censored] sick...board like Q68Tx or something, no flush draw. [/ QUOTE ] Why is he skilled? Because he made a check raise that worked one time? |

Oh, for sure, he isn't noataima or skywalker, he certainly has a bag of tricks. Whether he uses that bag correctly or not... thats another story.

Re: 100/200 150bb deep - play along
folding preflop would be giving up quite a bit with the way this guy was playing last night

Lead or check here? [/ QUOTE ] I like lead, though certainly checking sometimes is fine, and I can def be convinced that checking is better vs these 2. [ QUOTE ] If I check and sbrugby bets and Tee calls, action? [/ QUOTE ] too much equity to turn your hand into a bluff, or a weak semi bluff- i like a call. [ QUOTE ] If I check and sbrugby bets and Tee folds? [/ QUOTE ] unless u think the 2 of you have such an aggro dynamic that brian can call a c/r really light, or possibly 3bet really light, it seems like a call. [ QUOTE ] If I check and sbrugby checks and Tee bets? [/ QUOTE ] Against most I'd call, but if this guy really is going absolutely nuts I guess you could c/r for value? mehhh even against a lunatic I still like turning your hand into a bluff catcher. |
Re: 100/200 150bb deep - play along
This is a somewhat lazy analysis but, I don't think you're getting raised too often by aba if you lead and I'm not sure how capable tuan lee is of making a squeeze at the pot if aba calls your lead, but I'd be wary of check calling a bet by tuan lee and then having aba blow you off the pot. So I prefer a lead.
|
Re: 100/200 150bb deep - play along
Tuan is loose. But that board has no real draws. Just pot it and hope he raises you.

[/ QUOTE ] they are all quite deep and hero picked up a flush draw; there is no real way hero can get blown off this pot on the turn really, any play is fine on the turn, I think. |

EDIT: dunno who tkdcrew is but I assume it's durrrr/hcdnttb/urindanger, or some other reg I'm forgetting |
Re: 100/200 150bb deep - play along
i like checking and calling on the turn
and then sometimes leading the river UI, sometimes leading the river improved, but usually checking edited to say that i actually kind of like a CR and call shove |

Re: 100/200 150bb deep - play along
i think once brian checks the flop behind you're probably okay, and can bet and call a raise from Tuan, and c/c the river if UI, c/r the river if you improve

bet/fold to a raise
|
Re: 100/200 150bb deep - play along
I am leading river again hoping to get looked up light thinking that you took a stab on the turn w/ any number of oesd/gutter/fd hands.
I would seriously consider calling a raise as well. |
Re: 100/200 150bb deep - play along
def lead out, he hasnt shown ne strength yet, if he raises then i am not sure where i go cuz he might be raising a missed draw on this board.

Re: 100/200 150bb deep - play along
no, flop went chkchkchk. turn went bet/call/fold. i agree that turn should be checked. i would c/c or c/f the river. def don't think you're ahead 50% of the time you're called on the river (although of course I agree you're ahead more than 50% of the time, which is irrelevant).

Re: 100/200 150bb deep - play along
what about river c/r?
|
Re: 100/200 150bb deep - play along
for value? too thin. for bluff? insane.

what about river c/r? [/ QUOTE ] i just don't think he's going to betting <Ax if you check to him outside of busted draws so there's no point in c/r those. If somehow you knew that he would bet 2nd pair then I think a river c/r would be pretty sick. |
Re: 100/200 150bb deep - play along
river c/r would definitely be a bluff not for value

[/ QUOTE ] what about c/f? where do you rate that? couldn't i play a set exactly the same way with a river c/r? i don't know if he will only bet hands that beat me. i hold the 3h so i could also have 3h5h. will aba make a somewhat obvious bluff with a missed draw? all relevant. if he is betting for value, he probably has AT-AQ. so how is a c/r insane? |
