OT POLL: Is online poker BUSTO?

After reading the Zoo tonight, about the problems with Neteller, epassporte, Full Tilt, etc., etc., I can't help wondering:

Cry me a river kid. Its obviously going to get harder but there will always be plenty of players to exploit, its just going to be harder and you will have to put more work in.

Well, below is what I just posted over in the zoo. (Note that Neteller now appears to be keeping U.S. moniez for a minimum of 2 months, and every time somebody comes up with a workaround e.g. xfer to a Canadian friend, Neteller blocks it within hours.)

"You can request a check, which will take 35 *business* days to arrive. That's almost two months.

If you are 100% confident that said check will arrive, and your bank will honor it at that point, well, I have a bridge I'd like to sell you.

Or you can sign up for epassporte. Wait two weeks for your microdeposits to clear. Wait two more weeks for your EFT withdrawl to process. Oh, wait, they pull out of the U.S. three weeks from now because the founder's great-aunt got extradited from the Isle of Man. Pls see Neteller threads."

You are correct. They are just "holding" it for a few months.

Edit: If anyone wants to lend me $1775 in cash, I'll gladly pay you back when I get my money out of Full Tilt. I'll even give you 1% interest per month, which is way more than you'll get from a bank. Since my money is 100% safe, this should be a great deal for you.

So online poker is ~7-8% busto?

Yes, online poker is busto. All you [censored] give up and go back to school.

On a side note, I went out tonight and saw some Real World alumni at the bar I went to. Apparently, they get paid to go out to random podunk towns and party. WTF!

Yeah, that shizzle is funny. Sometimes you'd go out in L.A. and half the people there would be comped in some way, either by the bar because they were "hottie trend-setters" or by some company where they were paid to pimp some random product a few times an hour ("OMG I just, like, tried Full Tilt Poker, and it is, like, the FUNNEST site!!!!")

Right. What was really weird was Girls Gone Wild was at the same bar. Big news in a town of about 50-60k. Too bad it didn't bring out anything but the normal skanks that go there.

I think Indiana is the most correct.
Pineapple and BengieC were never really normal posters.

Indiana bothered me for a little while, but towards the very end I just thought it was funny, I didn't consider him a douche or anything.
