1000; river c/r bluff
I'm recanting this from memory but:
CO was donkish, probably not a great hand reader and played about 30/16 or so. I think he checks down weakish 2p, though he may bet weaker queens. I think his range here is missed draws or weak queens at best, maybe something stupid like 32ss. Do you like this, and do you like the betsizing on the river. 1k stacks Prf: I'm the BB. CO limps, sb completes, I check 54[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img][img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] flop [Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]] sb checks, I bet 30, CO calls, sb folds. Me and CO to the turn hu. Turn [A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]]: I check, CO checks. River [2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]]: I check, CO bets $50 into $90, I c/r to $120. |
Re: 1000; river c/r bluff

Re: 1000; river c/r bluff
wtf r u doing?
|
Re: 1000; river c/r bluff
i bet this turn 100%
|
Re: 1000; river c/r bluff
that turn is the best card for you to bet with the whole of your range, if you have any hand your betting the turn because its such a good 2 barrel card, when you check its with the intention of raising or giving up if unimproved.

Re: 1000; river c/r bluff
Ya. Bet the turn plz. On the river you are not representing anything but I do think this is gonna work often enough because he doesnt have anything as well.

Re: 1000; river c/r bluff
Hrm, this is very interesting, this is actually a hand out of NLH theory and concept. The back of the book lists a series of concepts (about 50 of them) and for most displays an example. I thought this was terrible and was wondering if everyone else thought the same. I'm trying to sort through this book right now for the good and the bad and it looks like this made the bad list.

Re: 1000; river c/r bluff
Maybe type in chat "I have the triple twos lol" and then make the raise.

Re: 1000; river c/r bluff

Re: 1000; river c/r bluff
this bluff sucks obv. but its a cheap way to get a donky image...
but since the cutoff is open limping i do not think its necessary :):) |
Re: 1000; river c/r bluff

Re: 1000; river c/r bluff
Everyone make sure you read my post about where this came from. Also sauce I've been thinking the same thing, c/ring river with middle pair type hands for value agaisnt better opponents. Going to experiment with it next week.

Re: 1000; river c/r bluff
villians that open limp the CO dont read hands well enough to know you usually dont have anything here so I think the move is fine but make it bigger than 120 to make sure he folds his QT or w/e.

What worse hands do you guys expect to call you with? I imagine the river c/r is for value right? Btw except durr, how often is a thinking player limping the botton? |
Re: 1000; river c/r bluff
Q5 = QK for those that don't realise

Re: 1000; river c/r bluff
but he might fold alot of the crap people who limp peel flops with.
|
Re: 1000; river c/r bluff
I agree with ahnuld. He will fold a lot of things that he will peel that flop with.
|
Re: 1000; river c/r bluff
ahnuld- im saying if we get to the river this way with KQ, a checkraise is better than check/call against some opponents and almost certainly better than bet/fold or bet/call
