A-Rod gets MVP

Obviously. Only two people who didn't vote him first are from, coincidentally I'm sure, Michigan.

That's all well and good, but he's hitless in his past 18 playoff at-bats with runners in scoring position.

Blasphemy. He won the Broadmoor Trophy last year on grit alone, I'm not going to stand here and listen to you bad-mouth him.

He can accumulate all the MVP's he wants, but he hasn't helped any of his teams win a ring yet. He's a bum. Not a TRUE YANKEE imo.

Scott Brosius was never selfish enough to put the team ahead of himself and focus on winning MVPs instead of WSs. Dunno who this Arod guy thinks he is.

It gives me such great joy that the yankees re-signed him. Wonderful to see them wrap up so much money in a perennial playoff choker.

The image of Leyritz's giant ass he goes to round 3rd base is permanently burned into my memory thanks to YES showing that clip 175 times a week in those little Yankees Classic Moments clips during commercials. I swear that one comes up 10 times more than any other.

ARod has a career postseason OPS of .844 which is obviously terrible

everyone's stats will look horrible if you pick and choose only the games they struggled

Re: A-Rod gets MVP

Clearly, ARod needs to be traded back to Seattle like he was from Texas to NY so he can be clutch again.

Clearly the Yankees need to get rid of Arod and maybe like Joba and then sign and quickly get rid of Griffey or something so that they too can win 116 games and get bounced in the first round.

Also, anyone notice how clubhouse cancer and choke-artist extraordinaire Arod brought down that Texas team? They dont hit as many HR since he left, maybe, but they gel really well and have pretty much been pumping out the championships.

Look how high in the air Andruw is!

Here are some baseball postseason stats for two players. Think about who you would prefer and whether it's close. I know there are better stats than these but whatever, this is what I could find easily.

Player A:
495 AB
.377 OBP
.469 SLG
.309 BA
17 HR (one per 29 AB)
2007 postseason stats: 3-17, OBP .176, SLG .176

Player B:
147 AB
.361 OBP
.483 SLG
.279 BA
7 HR (one per 21 AB)
2007 postseason stats: 4-15, OBP .353, SLG .467

Player A is Calm Eyes Captain Clutch Derek Jeter.
Player B is Choking Dog Selfish Bum Alex Rodriguez.

I [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A-Rod and his ridiculous contract.
