All 3 Boston teams winning the championship??
 

My friends are all homers from Boston and they are so excited about Celtics/Red Sox and Pats. What do u think are the odds of this happening this coming year? He just took a bet for 50-1, I originally offered him 100-1 but then had to rethink it and said i would get back to him.

It's easy to figure out what odds you should offer. Go to sportsbooks, figure out what the futures are for all three times, and add them up. Subtract an edge and offer it to him.

Jesus, Bodog is terrible. Anyone making any of those three bets is retarded. Celtics 5-1? Patriots 8-5? Red Sox 7-2 is the only one that looks at least almost close.

20:1 sounds about right to me. I'd put the Pats at 4:1 and the Red Sox at 3.5:1. So I'm 280:1.

I'd say about 20-1 for the Celts, 5-1 for the Sox, and 1-99 for the Pats.

Knicks only won in 1970 and 1973, right when the Yankees were busy sucking, so no. At least not for that city anyway.

Chicago has no chance at this either, for obvious reasons.

Right.. I'm just trying to think of major sports cities, and I knew Boston and CHI were out of it right away due to baseball. The Knicks I knew only won the 70s, and thought the Yanks sucked, what about the Mets?

Just checked, Mets were in the WS in 73, but lost. Maybe LA?

I thought of LA - in 1988 both the Dodgers and Lakers won, but the Raiders and Rams did not. Going back a ways, the Lakers could never beat the Celtics in the 60s and when they won the 50s were in Minneapolis (and the Dodgers were probably in Brooklyn at the time). Also, when Bob Welch was striking out Reggie Jackson the Lakers sucked. I don't think this has been done.

EDIT: but it was nearly done in 1986 with Boston - the Celtics romped, the Red Sox gagged, and the Patriots got pummeled in the SB. So there's an example of them at least making it to the championship game.

This probably doesn't matter because it involves hockey (which Bostonians have so completely ignored suddenly since their team sucks...I knew a hardcore Bruins fan 10 years ago that is no longer a fan at all...damn bandwagoners) and one team lost in the championships. Anyway, back in 2003, Anaheim nearly became home to the reigning champs in the only 2 sports they had pro teams for...

2002 Anaheim Angels - WS Champs
2002-2003 Anaheim Mighty Ducks - Lost in game 7 of the Finals
