2/4 - KK river decision

Villain is 28/18, but he doesn't strike me as one of those good LAGs which puts a lot of pressure on you and whatnot. More like a loose/semi-passive who raises more than a normal LP. There hasn't been any real history between us so far at the table.

Re: 2/4 - KK river decision

ehh his hand maybe under-repped but unless villain is brain dead, every hand in his range beats us.

Just fold, nh. He prob. doesn't bluff with that bet size often enough to make this a call anyway.

Looks like aces full. Turn bet is praying for a raise

I'd call, odds are just too good and with his bet sizing they'll turn over 66 often enough. If he has you beat I'd be surprised if he's got anything other than AA with his bet sizing.

IDK, calls the 4 bet seems to me if he has any clue his entire range beats us, i fold.

Bleh, I called because I'm a station. Villain turned over AQo.

I dont see what he could've possible been in that hand with that KK is beating. At least you earn some table respect making that call.

It's the stupid bet sizing that bothers me. If he had made a normal turn bet and then shoved the river, I wouldn't have as much problem calling because I've seen that line with a hand like TT trying to get KK/QQ to fold. But the minibet then larger bet always seems to be A-rag+.

For what it's worth, I check this flop with AK occasionally against non-thinking opponents because they will valuestack themselves with AQ or bluff off their stack with 88.

Re: 2/4 - KK river decision

this is a tough spot.

if it was just a 3bet pot i would be more inclined to call, as it's a 4bet pot i think it's a clear fold and i wouldn't think twice about it.

edit: i don't think it's as clear a fold as i said before. anyone have any good thoughts on ace high boards with KK in a 4bet pot ? i think the queen helps his range a ton as well.
