Not sure its malt liquor so probably 9% alcohol? No idea how many litres but a quart is 32oz and i suck at math so probably 3 litres?

brazilio 08-12-2007 09:45 AM

Re: prop bet math please be for helping

a liter is almost the size of a quart, so 2.7ish liters in total or so. I mean you might be wasted but who the [censored] cares, this is an easy 1k. OE is old english

Re: prop bet math please be for helping

Alcohol-wise a 40 of OE is about equivalent to 5 beers at 5% ABV.

Easiest money ever.

Even easier if you can eat scones while drinking. Scones are so dry.

Re: prop bet math please be for helping

Yeah I think you are gonna puke.

I've played Edward 40-hands about 5 times and I don't remember anyone doing any faster than about 30-35 minutes. Then again there wasn't 1k on the line.

Hope you hold it down.

u have to drink a cup every 2 minutes, pace yourself son

CaptainBusto 08-12-2007 11:14 AM

Re: prop bet math please be for helping

its just under 2.5 liters
in 20 mins? sounds pretty iffy unless youre related to kobayashi. i have no idea wtf OE is, but if its 9% alcohol then its a near certainty youre gonna throw up somewhere there (probably several times). if thats allowed, you might have a chance.
personally, i wouldnt even take the bet with milk. maybe for a bunch more money and with puking allowed.

99killed 08-12-2007 11:38 AM

Re: prop bet math please be for helping

no way --- unless u can open up yer throat and just throw it down.

from experience of OE 40s, they have a small mouth = hard to chug. lots of glug glug glug. i would pour them in a pitcher first.

regardless, i think u could get the first one down and prolly half of the second in 20 minutes. i drink alot of beer and i think i would really struggle with this.

i drank a pabst 30 pack in 24 hours for a prop once. won but jrunk as hell.

Re: prop bet math please be for helping

apparently a lot of people didn't go to college in this thread...

we used to have these kinds of prop bets all the time...

i knew a kid that could consistently (5-6 times i personally watched him) drink 1 40oz in under 60 seconds...

i can also personally vouch for the fact that he drank 3 40's in under 20 minutes...

also, the pabst 30 pack in under 24 hours seems like an even better bet. that's just an all-day cookout kinda thing...

maybe i'm just a bigger alcoholic than most, but i'm betting my entire life savings on either of these bets...the smaller mouth on the OE 40 might be a problem, but in the end, you definitely can chug 2 40's in 20 minutes..

brazilio 08-12-2007 12:27 PM

Re: prop bet math please be for helping

yeah I mean I don't understand this bet at all

20 minutes is a [censored] longass time, and 2 40-ozers isn't even 3/4 a gallon. I mean most people can chug a 72-oz coke from 7-11 or wherever in 20 minutes without even thinking about it, although it won't be full and you have ice.

foureightsuited 08-12-2007 12:47 PM

Re: prop bet math please be for helping

Chug the first in under 2 min. Its not that hard, just keep burping. Relax and enjoy an 18min second 40 and your easy $$$

Old English is only 5.9% alcohol.

hah it's far from easy but it's certainly doable. i've seen people try to do it w/longer time limits and fail miserably

Re: prop bet math please be for helping

I don't mean to sound like a frat dick, but someone really bet 1k that you couldn't do this? Half of the people I hang out with could do a 40 of OE in less than 60 seconds, without question. This kid (granted, he is a legend) bet HIMSELF that he couldn't finish a pitcher in under 60 seconds - he finished in 62 seconds, grunted, said "F---- that," grabbed a second pitcher and drank it in 57 seconds. Ten minutes later, he threw up, but impressive nonetheless.

Finishing a 40 in 20 minutes is like a leisurely start to a night....

Also, don't do it on an empty stomach. Eat something first - it's easy enough to do that you don't want to risk something going wrong on an empty stomach. (i.e. you drink too fast and bloat yourself, you throw up and lose 1k)

kiddcheckers 08-12-2007 05:36 PM

Re: prop bet math please be for helping

Do you have to drink them out of the bottle or can you pour it in a glass? If glass is allowed you can pour badly, causing a bunch of head, which will release some of the carbonation, making this way way easier. We slam a lot of beer round here, and that trick helps on sake bombing nights, or 40 oz relays.

I couldn't handle one shot of Old English.

Do you have to keep the sh## down? The taste, uck.

EDIT: I want to add that a forty of descent beer would last about five minutes, should be done in ten minutes. And you all are a bunch of light-weights, how I envy you.

Re: prop bet math please be for helping

Its probably not going down till next weelend.
Rules are

1-Have to Drink it out of the bottle

2-Cant puke during the drinking or for 10 minutes after.

Ill bump this when it goes down. Maybe Ill video tape it and put it on youtube.

At first I thought this was one of the dumbest things I ever read, but I guess it's actually true on the east coast. West coast ballers get the 7.5 though.

do 200 shots of beer in 100 minutes or something at least challenging

Jeff_B 08-13-2007 12:39 AM

Re: prop bet math please be for helping

Blah this is border line imo Ive chugged two beers back to back after having a few already...
Thats like < 30 seconds... and could have done more (given a chance to breath)

ive chugged to finish pitchers defiently do able.
The hardest part imo is drinking that vile substance known as OE.
