Id pretty much play it the same way. Before anyone else says it, "Standard".

I'm wondering what that weak $11 bet by the villain is on the river.
As stated above me, you played it well, it seems.

How big a bet do you plan to call?

Why did you check the river? He is a fish you want in the pot and he will call with a lot of hands that you beat steadily. If he beat you in this pot then that is bad variance, but on the river I bet 50 for value and fold to any raise whatsoever. I think he calls you with a lot worse here and it is +EV to value bet the river and fold to a raise.

betting $50 and folding to a raise on the river wouldn't make much sense DUCY?

Re: [100NL] QQ, flopped overpair with K on turn

Yes, you are completely right. I am drunk as piss and did not notice stack sizes. With his stack size I would only call his bet but if he was full I would want to raise and fold to a reraise.

With his stack if u bet anything worth while you have to call the raise so imo it is better to c/c here for sure. In my original post I didn't notice he was only half a buy in. I may even call a push here but it depends on reads

its .50/1 NL not 1/2, villain had a full buy in. Regardless you would have $90 in the pot if you bet $50 on the river and villain would have only 12.40 on top of that.

Probably somewhere in the half-pot range, ~$40. Is that okay?

I'd call $40 on the river easily. You really can't give him much credit for a hand that beats you since he's played it so passively. I wouldn't be surprised if he was "vbetting" something like QJ that missed its gutshot/turned OE str8 draw, and made a pair.

i think so, but i would rather bet 1/2 pot and then fold-- i think this kind of villain pays you off with basically any pair.

shove river

Re: [100NL] QQ, flopped overpair with K on turn

id check and fold to a reasonable bet on the river, too many two pair combos and if he missed his straights (one hit) then he now has a weak pair and is unlikely to value bet it big. Facing that bet id obv call.
