He has been posting an address to his blog in all his graph posts recently in BBV and SSNL. I notified hte mods but IDK if anyone has said anything to him.

I met him in June 05. A bunch of us went out to a strip club and some people got some "extras". He immediately went back to his hotel and posted about it without asking anyone first. Grade A douchebag.

Oh, and he's an idiot.


Also, here's some goodness from a couple PM's we just exchanged. I linked the post and just said "haha, blog url in the image. that's hilarious."

It's a watermarked image.... oh noes!?!?!?!?!?!?

Yes, I think he's being serious. So, uh, I guess you guys should know that the image might be "watermaked" (oh my god) on the blog also. And if you're wondering why, it's because that would make sense. And if you're wondering why that would make sense, well I have no idea.

Dude, someone just pointed out to me that this image is unprotected. You really ought to clean that up before unscrupulous individuals get their hands on it and pass it as their own.

Pretty lame, but I don't think it's worthy of any mod action. Let him provide the url to his blog in a picture. It's not a link (you can't click on it), so anyone desperate enough to read what Nick has to say will have to type it in manually anyway, or go to his profile or whatever, so it's pretty much a non-issue.

He's been very nice to me when I've hung out with him in Vegas, but does come off a little odd in person, and totally douche-y online.

From a mod perspective, this isn't a good thing to allow.

he kind of grows on you over time. I thought he was a douche at first (I was there with Evan, that was not cool), but in reality he is a nice enough guy who has a few self worth issues. Nobody is perfect... we tend to see his flaws a bit louder than other good posters but in the end he is a good poster.

Gimme a break. Some of you guys are just ban nutso. A one-week ban for this, to a guy who hasn't been banned before, is out of line.

This should be a one-day ban for emphasis of points you should have made to him in pm: No blog pimping on 2p2.

First time bans should be one day for minor offenses (after pm warnings).

I agree, but if he was previously told via PM recently by Guild then its not out of line at all. And mind you I am cool with Metetron, I'm wearing my impartial hat while saying this.

TT: It's way out of line. All you're doing is creating a disgruntled user. Here is the sensible plan IMO:

PM 1- Met: I had to delete your graph in BBV because of the blog address. You can't pimp your blog on 2p2 like that. About the only thing you can do is put the address in your profile. Thankx.

PM 2- I deleted your graph again. Look, 2p2 is serious about this. Display the address publicly again like that and I'll have to temp ban you.

If he does it again, One day ban.

If he does it again, Two day ban. w/ pm: Met: I'm not playing around. We'll just keep going up the ladder with temp bans until you get the point. If not, well, then I'll permaban you.

I think its reasonable to skip from step 1 to step 3, and I think its reasonable for bans to go from 1 day to something like 4 days to 1 week to permaban but otherwise I agree

I agree with this. First step delete the post, document in the user notes and pm issue a warning. Same offense committed suspend for one day with warning of more severe suspensions or complete ban with additional infractions. Ensure the notes are updated for future actions and to help out other mods. JMHO

Based on the e-mail he sent the forum master and gildwulf's post here, it looks to me like he was never actually warned about this by PM. Just deleting a post doesn't count as a warning.

I'm going to send him a reply and change this to a one day ban. That should make it pretty clear that we're not going to allow this in the future, and we can always ban him for longer if he does it again.

He's been banned from two other forums that I know of and when I owned Rake Rebate Review he tried to scam me out of advertising then ended up never paying for advertising up to the point I removed him for trying to scam me and then I got a mountain of complaints about him not paying rakeback.

You will be hard pressed to find too many people that have been around a while that don't think he is a complete scumbag.

bleh, i could have sworn I sent metetron a warning pm. I looked through today but can't find it in my saved msgs. Anyways, you guys are right it was too long. In retrospect I think 1-2 days would have been fine since I hadn't warned him officially in pm.

I thought I did though, bleh.
