Congrats to Bart Hanson
Not sure if this is the right forum. But I know Bart has a lot of friends from his live at the Bike days here in this forum. He's in 16th place with only 20 left of event #3. Good luck the rest of the way Bart.

TID Bart.....isnt this event televised? very good exposure [/ QUOTE ] YES it is gonna be televised! This is the largest NON main event @ the WSOP evarr @ 2998 runners in event #3. And HE MADE IT! |
Re: Congrats to Bart Hanson
9/9 going into final table. If he pulls it out from this position, an ESPN Dr. Dennis dance is mandatory.
|
Re: Congrats to Bart Hanson
Yeah I wont be happy unless I get "douche chills" while watching him on ESPN.......did anyone rail him? how did he fall from ~600k to ~200k?

Re: Congrats to Bart Hanson
Reading the pokernews updates, there has only been one update in which he was involved in a hand:
Andreas Krause Doubled Through Bart Hanson Bart Hanson pushed UTG for 460,000. He was called by Andreas Krause's A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. Hanson flipped over A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. Board: 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Krause doubled up. |
Re: Congrats to Bart Hanson
A3 sooooted UTG? good to see Bart adapting to donkament poker..... what are blinds going to be going into the FT and where is the button starting relative to Bart?

Re: Congrats to Bart Hanson
From what I can tell, there is still time left at the 20k/40k/5k level with Bart in the CO.
|
Re: Congrats to Bart Hanson
I assume they redrew the button for the televised FT and Bart drew the CO? thats pretty good.
GO BART |
Re: Congrats to Bart Hanson
I'm going off the fact that 10th place busted while on the button. There shouldn't be a redraw since they were playing 10-handed.

Any news on whether Bart is going to pimp himself out to FT and wear their gear? [/ QUOTE ] Bart will attempt to do the deal himself after he rejected my offer to help him. Alex Jacob will definitely be one of the 3 FullTiltPoker.net representatives given that he is the chipleader (at 3.1 million) and he had worked for FullTiltPoker.net at the 2006 ESPN Trump Taj Mahal US Poker Championship. I have presented Andreas Krause of Stuttgart, GERMANY (one of the short stacks at 490K) and Paul Evans of Northern California (2nd chip position at 1.69M) to FullTiltPoker.net for consideration. FullTiltPoker.net will select no more than 3, with Alex Jacob being a lock for one of the 3. I will be pushing for Andreas Krause, who has a track record going back to the 2000 WSOP where he finished 2nd at a Stud High/Low event. Germany is definitely a priority market for FullTiltPoker.net right now, with FullTiltPoker.net having just signed 2-time WSOP bracelet winner Eddy Scharf of Cologne. |
Re: Congrats to Bart Hanson
20k/40k + ante
thx for the info Olivert. |
Re: Congrats to Bart Hanson
GL to Bart at the final table this will be the most exciting event to watch on TV now. And Good Luck to both Bart and Dave this WSOP!!
|
Re: Congrats to Bart Hanson
He's the short-stack at the final table, so he's going to need to get lucky in a hurry. That said - to beat out 2991 other players is a feat in and of itself.
Considering he plays so few tournaments, it's a testament to how solid cash game fundamentals can help you in a tournament setting. That, and pushing with A3 UTG - although I'm SURE he was getting over 2 to 1 when he made the move. Nice work Bart! - T |
Re: Congrats to Bart Hanson
I thought this thread was going to be about Bart finally getting a job.
In any event... WTG BART!!!! Also Alex Jacob is the chip leader so there's another person to root for in the event Bart goes busto. |

Good Luck Bart - All in within the first orbit I do believe.

All the luck to Bart! No matter what place he finishes in it is still good.

gogogogogo Bart!!!!

Re: Congrats to Bart Hanson
For those interested www.worldseriesofpoker.com has live audio feeds of the FT's....the announcers are ass but its still a decent way to get quick results. Should start sometime after 3pm PST or 6pm EST.

Re: Congrats to Bart Hanson
Bart won't rest until he matches his good friend Brian Touchman's WSOP victory in last year's WSOP Media tournament. This also helps make up for his 10k Omaha 8 debacle from last year.

We can only hope for a Bartgasm for his first televised suckout. On a more serious note, I sure hope this helps him gain some exposure and consideration for any future commentating gigs that come along. It's a damn shame that someone with his natural talent is being overlooked. - T |
Re: Congrats to Bart Hanson
Good luck Bart, I hope you can survive a couple of rounds. Or go all the way!
|
Re: Congrats to Bart Hanson
Hey everyone! Way to go Bart! Bart is one of the bets poker players I know - and maybe now, he'll actually get the recognition he deserves.
As for the A-3. He had 460K -, it was almost 100k to play a round and they were five handed...cut the guy some slack. One hand is all he needs...he double through one time, gets a little lucky and he's in...One lucky hand and he'll do the rest. On a different note, you'd think they'd let me do the commentary for just this event??? Thank you all for your support - The good energy can be felt in Vegas. |
Re: Congrats to Bart Hanson
If you can arrange for Howard David to be predisposed of for a few hours, it would certainly be an improvement.
|
Re: Congrats to Bart Hanson
gl bart and dave in the series. . . it's great to see him make a final table and prove to everyone that's he's a very good player--something viewers of latb all knew. I'd love to see him go deep just for the bartgasms and hopefully the dr. dennis douchechills dance.

bart could comment his own hands. that would be awesome.
"alex jacob needs a only a 3 to win...OOOOOOOHHHHHHH and it comes." btw wasn't dave drunk or something when he won the media event last year? |
Re: Congrats to Bart Hanson
