Share screen for coaching

Hi

I need some software, that will let an external user (coach) watch my screen while I play poker - for coaching.

The coach does not need to be able to control the mouse.

Any experience with this?

Never done it myself. I have seen people post, in the Micro-Brew thread, that Skype + Unyte works very well. Beyond that, I dont know anything. Never tried either application.

FWD is another alternative to Skype.

I took a quick look at Unyte (free version), looks very promising. We plan on using Skype anyway, so it's great that Unyte integrates well with Skype (or so they claim).

No link.

Someone just mentioned that they used Skype + Unyte for a "Sweat Session" and it worked great. There was no other info in the post.

Skype + Unyte has worked really well for me. The only problem was that I couldn't see HUD stats of the person I was sweating. FWIW it was a RealTime HUD.

AIM PRO works great and it's free. Only problem is it you can only share your desktop with one person.

Looking for a program that you can use to share with multiple people and free.

Re: Share screen for coaching

I tried crossloop (crossloop.com) earlier today, and it worked ok for watching.

I tried taking control of a computer over the Internet and editing in a word-doc, and it was impossible due to lag. I have a sick fast connection - and there was a sick fast connection at the other end - but still unbelievably slow - sometimes the connection was out for 10 secs at a time.

However, I will try it out tomorrow with my coach, where it is just for viewing purposes, not control.

I've heard good things about beamyourscreen.com though never used it myself.

1 week free trial, after that it's $35US/month for 1:1 sessions.

First session was earlier today, and we used CrossLoop - and it worked great! No problems whatsoever.
