Where'd you get it/how much?
I'm looking into 30" monitors but I can only find the Dell for like $1300, whereas the HP LP3065 is pretty much the same monitor with more inputs and is about $100 cheaper.

I bought it for $1000 shipped from a guy on Anandtech forums. He said it was brand new and he didn't even open the box (I had him test it before shipping it).

A few weeks ago I saw a 30" Dell for $950 but someone snatched it before I could pick it up. I generally find that Craigslist and forums like Anandtech are the best for finding computer stuff, just because people are too lazy to list their stuff on eBay (including me) or want to avoid the hassle of shipping and eBay+PayPal fees.

The 22" is plenty for me to 6-table with. But, I watch more TV/Movies on my PC, than I do play poker, lately. A 30" would be sweeeeet. [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]


Will you be 12-tabling now? If not, why the upgrade?

I want the 30 also but may just upgrade one of my 20's to the 24 since you can 12 table easily on those. Save me quite a bit of money.

im buying a 30 incch soon and playing the same amt of tables just each table will be bigger because i hate it when the graphics look compresed

Bought mine for the same reason. Usually I play 4-6 tables, but sometimes I'll bump it up to 9 and that's no fun on a 24".

EnoBaLL - No, this monitor is not from PokerStars. Stars offers a Samsung 30", not a Dell.

TomHimself - Yes, 15" MBP, not the newest one though [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

Do you plan on selling the 24" model? If anyone else is looking to upgrade soon I'm looking to buy a used 20"-24".

Hmm, Dell 30" is actually on sale for $1275 in their store until Oct. 18 (beat: +$100 for CA sales tax [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]).

Lol nice.

Anyone who says why upgrade if you aren't playing more tables obviously hasn't used one of these before. I love mine, 12 tabling is so easy on one of these, so much that I no longer have the patience to 6 table because it gets so boring.

I would consider getting one if it didn't cost so much to get in the UK...

When I start winning monies again - I'm going to invest in one....

And then I'll probably need a middle man "if you know what I mean" ...

30 inch monitors are sweet and all, but i'd rather have 2 20s or 2 24s with 1900x1200 res.

it's cheaper and easier to play poker on 2 monitors. windows resize to just one monitor so you can use the other one for other stuff. if you maximize a window on a 30, it takes up the whole screen whereas you can just drag it to the second monitor and not cover up your windows. resizing windows manually is a pain.
