just bought like 2.7m hand database. pls to help me put it into PT.

I have postgreSQL or w/e, and it's a .part file.

wtf do i do.

.part is usually a file that isn't fully downloaded. how did you receive this file? Tried renaming the extension to whatever postgreSQL uses?

go to utilities->postgresql database functions->restore a database

.backup is the extension of a backed up postgres DB

extract the .backup file, then go to utilities-> postgres db functions

click backup and open the .backupfle

it'll probably take few hours for it to back up a DB that huge.

Update:

I have to do this [censored] on another computer, and when I hit the restore db thing after I select the .backup file it asks me where to open the 'pg_restore.exe' which I have no [censored] clue what that means.

50 bucks to someone to cure this.

I don't know but I'd try reinstalling postgres.

pg_restore.exe is in C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\8.x\bin. If it's not there, search for it in Windows Explorer. Reinstall PostgreSQL if you can't find it.

That's what I was referring too, the file or location is probably missing and a reinstall should fix it.

when i install the postgresql thing it says "unable to create postgre user" or some [censored] like that and rolls back the installation and cancels everything.

Are you using Vista? I had the exact same problem. Turn off User Account controls and it will work fine.

OK now I did all that [censored], and when I select the postgre thingy when the question comes up, it says "Error connecting to PostgreSQL to determine if the database being restored already exists. " then it gives some code and [censored] (this is already in pokertracker.

Did you disable User Account Control before installing?
