Spot 2 mistakes (NC)

I'm Hero.
BB is tight.

Bet the river.

I would say fold preflop but you got that one right.

Re: Spot 2 mistakes (NC)

Shouldn't the button also be raising with any two cards if the BB is that tight?

Re: Spot 2 mistakes (NC)

That's not a mistake 100% of times.
It can be part of a mixed strategy or whatever.
Do you always raise on the SB HU against the BB?

I understand that this is Pty 3/6 blind structure where completing is most of a mistake but still not every time.

I think steal-limping is fine against this BB...

I think you need to mention that the BB is so tight that he will fold preflop even if he could get a free look at the flop.

Also, please tell me you misclicked preflop here.

In this hand both CO and button were laggy and I don't really like playing drawing hands OOP, if I miss the flop it will become tricky. I was likely to get isolated here and felt ditching it was better. The results made me 2nd guess my decision though...

I'm new here and want to play along. What did the Hero do here? Why did the BB fold when he could see a flop for free. Why in the world does the hero ever not raise with a hand this powerful? Please explain the reason for this thread.

Hero accidentally folded PF. BB folded PF for who knows what reason. This thread belongs in BBV as this is clearly a BRAG by OP.

SB had aces and you and BB were too smart to fall for his slowplay.

I guess you could make a case for BB checking his option, but he didn't trust himself and figured he might just get in trouble if he let himself see a flop. Sometimes knowing your own weaknesses is the key to playing winning poker.
