5/10 hu v donk

hes not overaggro per se but he has shown a willingness to bluff.

i literally just c/r bluff huge, like 1200 on river or something and showed it the very last hand.

call or fold riv? is this ever a bluff? how often does he check behind two pr/set? can he raise 6 for value like this? he doesn't really "get" poker...

i dont' like the river, i would have prob just randomly donked turn, even though i almost never do that.

i guess i would CR smaller prob on river, i dont' think he's got a bluff hardly ever, or he would bet the turn, and this type of donk would prob check behind 99 here.

fold riv obv

i would fold river now, in fact i wouldn't have even raised in the first place.

this is possibly a bluff though, but also very possible he checked behind 2pr/set on turn.

oh i didn't mention he just value towned 3 streets full pot with J8 on a J73ss6o3s board and i c/c every street with 78 cuz it didn't make sense. so he def likes to value bet.

also last thing to mention is i've been catching decent cards and have been very aggressive. ive won prob 80% of pots and only like 5% if that have gone to showdown

What's up with preflop?

I think given history the river is good and I'd probably call his reraise.

If I thought villain was slightly donkish or even not a "reg" I would have lead the turn btw.

I like the flop call as well, 3betting a meh draw with these stacks is going to put us in some bad spots on the turn/river.

its hard to see him checking top two pair or a set on the turn given you guys are deep enough that he could bet, get CRed and still have room to maneuver.

My input:

1. Save the preflop raises with baby suited two gappers for at least when you have position
2. If he has a set, how can villain check behind on that turn with all those draws out there?
3. I assume you were going for c/r on the turn?
4. I would play river same, and call, just because his turn check behind makes me suspicious

Duck,
pf wtf? Not saying good or bad just confused.

I'm not sure what I think about river. Its tough to say without having a good idea of his flop raising range/buttom limping range/frequencies. So I'm undecided if I like betting or checking more. But once you check I think his range on the river when he bets is prob something like 6x and boats and given your crazy image you could prob get looked up by 6x so i think its probably fine. Once you get shoved on its a pretty easy fold because I think if he has a worse hand he's calling not shoving.

i'd pretty much eat three pounds of guano before folding this river given history.

Re: 5/10 hu v donk

Think you should bet the turn as your hand is very well hidden, so he is probably unlikely to believe you and you avoid a check through. If he has a strong hand, he may also raise, allowing you to shove it in.
Think you have to call river as you have taken a very suspect line and he may be tilting from the other hand.
Think river is close between bet-calling 80-120 and what you did.

This was my first thought. Aejones mentioned it as well and I fully endorse the idea. It induces bluffs from air as well as raises froom legitimate hands(2purr+). It also sets a precedent for being able to take this line which may allow you to exploit it later on (since this is an odd line to take).
