Myspace pick-ups: Fire a second barrel?

Phew! Accidentally posted this in OOT and deleted it in the nick of time.

So you sent a Myspace girl a message, preferably using Nation's "I like to make out" line. She doesn't respond. Do you fire a second barrel?

I think this type of thing is generally frowned upon, but there's no way it can hurt if you don't have any friend connections to her. Even if the second barrel only works 5% of the time, it's well worth it.

But the question is, what do you write the second time? This would probably differ depending on if it was a complete random, past classmate, old hook-up, friend-of-a-friend, etc. Thoughts?

Junt to give you some useful advice, I disagree with the concept of firing a second barrel

the whole point of nation's [censored] message is volume, so getting stuck defeats the purpose

i'd c/f. it's not worth the effort to waste time on a girl who you have a 5% chance with when you can talk to countless other girls who haven't likely already rejected you.

this is the right answer with the wrong reasoning. you have a greater chance by not firing that second barrel.

How so? It's two weeks later, she's not gonna respond, you will never run into her anywhere.

Or hell even a year later...

Junt the point I was trying to make:

Firing a second barrel is absolutely fine, but spending time (like this) dissecting exactly what your second barrel should be defeats the purpose of the myspace pickup, especially when you're using nation's method

if you fire it must be in all caps and just creepy enough to get her attention, something like "YOU DIDN'T RESPOND TO MY FIRST MESSAGE SO I FIGURED YOU NEEDED SOME ENCOURAGEMENT, YOU SHOULD DEFINITLY MESSAGE ME BACK, DEFINITLY"

Yea but we spend large threads deciding what the first barrel should be, and if it's proven that a second barrel can up your percentages, we should know the proper way to do it.

And as I've said before, I hope my gf reads this.

This was a bad post, I'm kinda sorry.
