Carbon Poker - VIP Program requests

Over at Carbon Poker we are working on a few thing we want to put together to form a VIP program to both reward our regular players and of course to attract new players.

As a regular poker player, what sort of features do you look for in a VIP program?

And most importantly what features would be enough to entice you to a new poker room?

To get an influx of players from the US market.
1) Get Epassporte back
2) Rakeback

Without either good luck.

3) Spell the name of your poker room correctly in forum post titles.

Also why haven't you ditched the casino games so you can take epass or block epass users from having access to them? This is easily your downfall. Start at processing then worry about what your high volume players want. If the fish can't deposit then it is pointless to discuss.

PA how about checking out Carbon's deposit and withdraw options before writting rude sounding comments.

They have plenty of deposit options and they have a withdraw option that works like epassporte. (ATM card)

ePassporte is now the standard for U.S. players, like Neteller used to be. It is generally easier, faster (aside from the initial account setup), and cheaper to use than the other methods. Additionally, most players do not want to create more e-wallet accounts if they don't have to, particularly because it usually means giving yet another company bank account information.

I liked Poker.com. If Carbon Poker had ePassporte as an option, I would be playing there.

I used to play Carbon.........really liked it too. Until they did away with Epassporte. When they did .....I left and looks like LOTS of others did too. Like another poster said............. I'm DONE with opening another E-wallet etc. just to play at 1 site! GET Epassporte back!!!! Then worry about VIP programs!!!

Plenty of NL 6 max $200 and $400 games and better than 50% RB equivalent - it's what I already get at Prima (with no mininum hand requirements) (and worse than I was getting until this month at iPoker)and it's what I would need to consider a new site. If the site was significantly softer than Prima or offered say 55% RB for a relatively easily achievable monthly rake target (say $2500 or so) then that would be fine.

Oh and no crap MTT freeroll tokens in lieu of $$ RB please (as at iPoker -sucks)

Exactly. Their own greed of offering casino games has hurt their ability to attract players due to processor issues. If they don't address that issue then there is no reason to look at other issues that might help them grow because their growth can't happen w/o epass or at least not to US players. AP/UB blocked BJ from epass users so there must be some way for Carbon to do it too. Of course there could be a bigger issue we don't know about.

I'm not trying to give Carbon a hard time. I invite all poker rooms to have contact in the forum. I feel the epass issues is by far their #1 problem and that is just constructive criticism.

I forgot about their new rb program. Not allowing rb players to get bonuses seems odd to me and AFAIK no other site does that. Maybe your site could rethink that position.

Re: Cabon Poker - VIP Program requests

We really do understand that ePassporte is the preferred deposit/withdrawal option for a lot of poker players now, but unfortunately we are stuck between a rock and a hard place.

We have contacted ePassporte on this issue and have tried several options in regards to turning off access to side games etc, but unfortunately ePassporte have declined to process us again regardless. It would seem that we don't have enough numbers to get them to change their mind on this.

So now we have no choice but to look at every other option to increase player numbers and continue to improve on player retention.

You really are not between a rock and a hard place and you do have choices. One of those choices is to be a poker only site, which would take care of the ePassporte issue.

Appreciate the insight. It seems you need to figure out what business you are fundamentally in.

A) Are you in the business of offering a gaming experience that generates the highest volume of players to increase profits. Or...

B) Are you in the business of offering card and casino games.

Seems to me you have to ask yourself (and I'm guessing you have): Which business generates the most profits? and which business fits into your fundamental business plan?

I didn't realize that "turning off access to side games etc" was clearly equivalent to permanently eliminating all non-poker games and becoming a poker only site. I apologize if I have hurt your sensitive feelings on this matter, Coy_Roy.

I can't imagine epass would refuse to service a new poker only skin on Merge. There must be more to this story.

I can't imagine a lot of things ePassporte does but they keep happening anyway .

I think we should stop discussing ePassporte in this thread. They know we want it and we know we aren't going to get it. Subject closed.

Let's focus on asking for things we might actually get .
